Selamlar! Welcome to Istanbul, the city of Empires! My name is Uğur, born and raised in this city. As Napoleon once said: ''If the earth were a single state, Istanbul would be its capital'' I live with my pretty wife Rose our daughter Defne and Archie, our cat. I'm a huge cinema fan, I watched almost all of the cult films. I studied Spanish Language and Literature at University of Istanbul. After my graduation I took an intense course of tourism guidance regulated by the Ministry of Tourism and Culture in 2012. So, I've been working as a licensed guide ever since. I've been guiding escorted tours all around Turkey (Ankara, Cappadocia, Antalya, Ephesus, Troy etc. ) and also do private city tours. Istanbul is one of the few cities in the world divided into two continents. Once capital of Roman Empire, Byzantine Empire (Eastern Roman) and Ottoman Empire, Istanbul is vast in history. I can't wait to share my knowledge with you! Apart from my job I myself also love travelling, trying new tastes, discovering new places, getting to know different cultures and people that's why I'm aware of expectations of a traveller. My job is not only to show the main attractions but also to make sure the traveller has an insider experience. Long story short, this illuminating city awaits you! And I'm here to lead you through it! Hope to see you soon, Uğur Professional Tour Guide License-issued by Ministry of Tourism and Culture Member of the Union of Tourist Guide Chambers Due to regulations declared by Ministry of Tourism , some of the sights might be closed depending on the date of the tour. Largest city in Europe, lets see a bit of modern İstanbul! We will feel the soft breeze of Bosphorus while visiting the Dolmabahçe Palace , 19th century residence of Ottoman Empire. It will amaze you with it's glorious chandeliers, handmade rugs and wonderful art pieces! As we walk down the Istiklal Street, you will have a chance to try the popular local street foods and drinks. The street ends nearby the Galata Tower which is the best viewpoint of Istanbul! It is also one of the landmarks of the city. To sum up, this tour gives you the opportunity not only to see the famous buildings but also to explore the hidden gems and walk down the bohemian streets, a chance to experience all colors of the city and I can't wait to be your local guide to be a part of this unforgettable experience of your Istanbul trip!
