Hello, this is Oğuz! I was born on the Black Sea coast of Turkey and spent my childhood there till university. I studied in Konya for 3 years Tourism and Guiding and after I graduated, I moved to Istanbul. I'm a family man living in Istanbul with my wife and our two sons together. We love Istanbul a lot! At the moment, I'm a professional tourist guide and working in tourism since 2008. I like the history of Istanbul because it's such an open type of history, you may learn lots of new details all the time related to it. It's also a multicultural city where you may find the different tastes and items belong to Anatolia. Of course, a local guide will be helpful for you to find for what you look for. I like to help our guests to show them some hidden gems where only local people know and prepare some small surprises for them. It should be the best way of traveling to keep something always on mind and remember when you turn back to your country. It's the unforgettable memories you will always remember with you and tell your friends the stories you heard and food you tasted! On my tours, I offer you a different type of pleasures you may experience but I am also open to make a flexible and customized tour just for you! It's always a privilege to have a tour with a local guide! Wish you all the best for your trip to Turkey. This tour is a combination of the classical old city, Bosphorus, and Galata tours. It's highly recommended for visitors who have a layover and a short time visit in Istanbul. You can also call this tour a kind of "tasting tour" because there will be a lot of local tastes on our way: best spots for Turkish Coffee, real Baklava tasting (my favorite one), Helva ice cream, etc. . . Yes, I love history a lot and like to share my secret spots with my guests, so while we are wandering around the city, we can't miss these delights. The old town is more related to history; the Galata district has modern architecture that belongs to 19th-century Baroque and Rococo, combined with art, music, and boutique stores. Of course, you can find a lot of pubs and coffee houses with different designs. If you ever heard about "Sufi whirling", we will learn where they lived and meditated as well. The Asian quarter is a more local part of the city. A short visit to domestic life will take you into a different view of the city!
