Highlights of İstanbul

My wife and I toured with Sila while visiting on a cruise ship and it was a great way to see the city with an excellent local guide. Sila was very accommodating and tailored our experience to maximize our day. With her lovely personality and enthusiasm for the city’s history we were able to visit the Bazaar, Cistern, The Blue Mosque and the Hippodrome in 4-5 hours with little to no wait time . Her communication and planning was excellent. We’d definitely tour with her again!

My husband and I have just completed an amazing private tour of Istanbul with Sila! First, because we are older and don't have as much endurance, Sila organized a one day 7 hour tour into a customized 2 day (total 7 hours) tour for us! And because we had two days to enjoy and explore the cultural and historical highlights of Istanbul, we were not exhausted and were able to better enjoy the experience. Sila has an impressive comprehensive and thorough grasp of the history and culture of Istanbul and she shared that with us in a way that was both interesting and fun. Sila offered us many opportunities to rest, as needed, but even during those rest breaks she would explain the significance of an historical event, a piece of marble or the meaning of words inscribed in Turkish arabic. The architecture and cultural legacies of Istanbul were breathtaking and the views from the palace verandas and balconies transported us back in time. We now understand the significance of the color blue and the role it plays in Islam. We have so many memories and sights dancing in our heads.
