Feel the Essence of amazing Istanbul with your Local Guide at Old city tour Istanbul

This tour takes us through the long history of this city, to 700 BC. I will tell you about the myths, legends, invasions, attacks and conquests that took place in those time periods. You will experience the transformations of the different periods, from the ancient acropolis, agora, and palaces to modern bazaars, streets, and residences. We will start with the Greeks and end with the ancestors of the Ottomans of today's modern country called Turkey. Along with history, you will learn about intrigue, subjugation, and rivalry on this earth. In addition, you will be introduced to historical and cultural shopping in the old bazaars and bedesten (local markets). During the tour we will have small breaks to taste local street dishes. I will make you try a combination of Turkish tea and simita, Turkish coffee, rakult and our traditional dessert "baklava". We will also drink apple tea, and maybe try the Ottoman pancake drink sherbet. And for the lunch break, we may have our traditional "kebab" or "doner" :)
