I’m a licensed hiking guide specialized in the Camino de Santiago. Although I was born in Barcelona, I’ve had a deep connection with Santiago and the Camino for many years—long before making this stunning city my home. After several years working in computer programming, I decided to follow my true passions: travelling, being immersed in nature, and connecting with people from all around the world. This journey led me to guide both cultural and hiking tours across Spain, Portugal, and Italy, with a particular focus on the Camino de Santiago, a path that has profoundly shaped both my personal and professional life. Galicia, the region where Santiago is located, is truly remarkable. It is a land of lush landscapes, deep green forests, and rugged coastlines, with nature that feels untamed and pure. The region is rich in historical and cultural heritage, where ancient traditions, Celtic roots, and medieval architecture are deeply embedded in everyday life. It’s a place where nature and history come together to create an unforgettable atmosphere, making it an ideal destination for anyone looking to connect with the land and its stories. My bond with Santiago grew stronger with each arrival as a pilgrim, and eventually, it became clear that this city was where I truly belonged. I’ve now made Santiago de Compostela my home, and I’m passionate about sharing my perspective and love for this incredible region with travellers from all over the world. I don’t offer a typical city tour; I offer an authentic experience—one that combines personal storytelling, deep insight into the culture and nature of Galicia, and the spirit of the Camino. If you want to discover Santiago de Compostela and Galicia through the eyes of someone who has walked these paths many times and now calls this land home, I’d be honoured to guide you.

Step away from the usual tourist routes and discover one of Santiago de Compostela’s most authentic and captivating experiences — the circular Sarela River Trail. Spanning approximately 6 kilometres, this scenic path takes you through the lesser-known yet deeply meaningful landscape that helped shape the city’s history. For centuries, the Sarela River played a key role in the daily life of Santiago. Trades such as tanning, milling (muiñeiros), and washing clothes (lavandeiras) relied on its flow, making it a vital part of the city’s economic and social development from the 19th century to today. As we follow the trail, you’ll enjoy a mix of lush nature with remnants of history and artistic heritage. I will also share legends, with you— all set in the peaceful Galician countryside. On this walk, I won't only expose you to local beauty, but to local insights as well.
-We’ll begin our journey at Obradoiro Square, in front of the Cathedral, where I’ll share a bit of its history and main landmarks. -Our first stop will be Alameda Park, a beautiful green space with the best panoramic view of the Cathedral. -Next, we’ll continue to the Carvalleira de San Lorenzo, a quiet chestnut grove beside the historic monastery. -From there, we’ll follow the path to Ponte Sarela, a charming medieval bridge over the Sarela River, and learn about its past and old mills. -Then, we’ll walk along the Sarela River, surrounded by trees and a peaceful rural landscape before returning to the old town. -We’ll finally reach Obradoiro Square again to end our scenic loop. -To conclude the experience, we’ll enjoy the most traditional food from this region: Galician-style octopus, mussels, and a glass of Albariño wine in a traditional local restaurant.

For groups requiring pick-up from locations outside Santiago de Compostela, such as A Coruña, I would be happy to offer transportation in a comfortable 8-seat passenger van such as a Volkswagen Caravelle, although this service would be subject to an additional fee, so contact me before booking if you'd like to request it.
Praza do Obradoiro, Santiago de Compostela, Spain
My suggested meeting point would be at a Praza do Obradoiro, right in front of the entrance of the Parador Hostal dos Reis Catolicos Hotel, but I can be flexible with the meeting point to make things easier for you. I could pick you up from your hotel, whether you are in Santiago or nearby towns like A Coruña. Just let me know your preferences when booking and I'll arrange everything for a smooth start.
