Hi, my name is Carmela, welcome to Galicia! I was born in Galicia, but I grew up in Germany, in Hamburg. After many years, I came back to Spain to my parent's land, Galicia. I have lived in Madrid and also La Coruña and today I move around all over my country and outside Europe when I have free time for myself. I have traveled through many countries and have friends and family in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, the US, South America, and New Zealand. I am a curious traveler, living and working full-time as a guide all over Galicia, Portugal sometimes and south Spain, for more than twelve years. I offer private and customized tours to visitors from all over the world arriving in cruise ships, for holidays, or for clients that have completed "The Camino" to Santiago de Compostela and want to discover more about our green corner of Spain: Galicia. This is the corner of Spain where you will discover our treasures of nature, gastronomie and kind people. Over 1400 km. coastline and not very hight mountains, the called land of the thousand rivers will surprise you! I always try to offer my clients the best experience in my working languages, English, German, and Spanish. I'm a person who loves traveling and sharing my experiences with people. I love to work showing my city and surroundings, guiding people to the best places, not only to the touristy ones. Living in a place with a food and wine culture like ours adds extra value to my tours. I'm interested in music, arts, traveling, painting, and home decoration. Singing and painting are my hobbies. I have participated in painting exhibitions and performed in small concerts. I have worked in schools as a German language teacher and have been a guide for 12 years, carrying out my work by accompanying my clients throughout the territory of Galicia, showing them our culture, gastronomy, and the world of wine. I think being a guide is a very interesting and rewarding profession because it allows me to meet and often make friends from all over the world. I'm always open to suggestions, special requests, and new adventures, so if there is anything you have in mind already, feel free to get in touch with me and tell me about it! - Diploma in Cruise Ship Tour Guide ( Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services) Barcelona 2012 - Diploma in German Language ( E.O.I. La Coruña ) (1981) - Translator and Interpreter - Studies in Bank Administrator I am not a licensed guide, and will not be able to guide you inside of the historical monuments, but there are no restrictions on providing information and guiding outside these locations.

Let's go on an unforgettable journey through the vineyards and breathtaking landscapes of Rías Baixas. My wine and highlight tour combines the essence of Galician culture with the natural beauty of the region. The Rias Baixas epitomize everything Galicia can offer its visitors in terms of tourism, with unbeatable weather and the most comfortable geographical conditions for car and walking routes. Just as all of Galicia is known for its extraordinary gastronomy, on my tour, you will be able to experience that richness and freshness in all traditional dishes. Wine, along with fishing, drives the main industry in this part of Galicia. The gentle landscapes along the Rias Baixas will invite you to discover different corners and beaches, with traditional fishing ports as well as our region's luxurious tourist golden mile. I can personalize this tour according to your preferences.
