Dear guests, My name is Begoña and I am a Licensed tour guide in Galicia, an amazing region in the northwest of Spain. I was born and raised in a little village located on the mountains of this undiscovered Spanish green corner. Later I got my degree in tourism in Barcelona and after spending some time in Brighton (U. K. ) I went back to Santiago de Compostela where I have been living for the last 20 years. If you wish to discover the hidden corners of Santiago, don't hesitate to CALL ME! We will do it together. Based on historic and art features of course, but also related to climate, food, legends and hundreds of other facts that have managed to consolidate the personality of this land and its people. You will understand it and enjoy it and I'll love showing it to you. Our tour will be friendly, enthusiastic, flexible and perfectly adapted to your timings. Even in cases of physically challenged guests, we will find the way to reach the little alleys of Santiago, with a laid-back approach. Should you be a family with kids, w'll make them to have fun (I believe I developped a knack for children since my own child was born). All my tours can be customized, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions. The tour is an unforgettable experience. COME & CALL. Looking forward to meeting you. Guide of tourism of Galicia (Spain) with License: GT-6-XG (license issued by the regional government of Galicia-Spain) I am not a driver guide. I will arrange transportation with a private driver for your tour if necessary.

This is the place to go if you like to get a whole vision of Galician region. It's a bit out of the beaten track of tourism but very interesting and worth it. The museum is well organized and presents those traditions and customs that sometimes are forgotten in official history but make the real identity of the people. The exhibition covers old occupations along historic periods, related to the sea, field work, clothing, architecture, society, etc The site is by the pilgrims entry in Compostela and had been the Dominicans convent since the XIII century. The later reconstruction of the building left it with an imposing barroc style and fabulous staircase. The gothic church has been the burial ground for most distinguished people in the country. End the tour with a fantastic view from the Bonaval park along with a traditional tapa and drink.
- If your hotel is in the center of the city we walk to the museum. Depending where your hotel is, but usually there is no more than 30 minutes walking. I normally use this time frame to introduce you historically and have an easier understanding once inside. - Visit the different sections of the museum: cloister, staircase, exhibitions. . . - At the end we share a drink and a galician tapa. *Before booking this tour, please check my availability by sending me a message by "Ask a question" as I might already have a last minute reservation. All my tours can be customized, please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
