We really had an excellent tour with Begona - I don't normally complete reviews like this but I absolutely wanted to do so on this ocassion. We were a group of friends visiting Santiago but, as it was raining, we asked Begona at the very last minute to switch from a planned tour of the old town to a cathedral tour - which she did seamlessly! Begona is absolutely what a top guide should be: knowledgeable, including a lot of interesting and unusual anecdotes and information not found on the standard tourist tours: very helpful, sending us all sorts of additional information on trips outside Santiago, restaurants, best coffee shops etc before and after the tour itself and patient - as she tried to keep our group vaguely in line and together! Thank you again Begona for helping to make our trip to Santiago so memorable!

Today we visit maybe the most unique one: The FARAMELLO Manor House, founded at he beginning of the XVIII century. You will meet the Lord of FARAMELLO, who is still living there. Besides enjoying his individual personality, he'll explain about his ancestors, the traditional business of the family, how they hosted the spanish king ALFONS XII in the PAZO, becoming a summer residence for the royal family and also for some nobel writers. He might as well reveal the most secret and distinguished honor this family still holds in Galicia today. Features of the experience: Delightful tour full of romanticism, historic traditions and legends. REALLY WORTH IT! End it relaxing with a traditional tapa and drink.

Energetic, knowledgeable and flexible
We arrived at our hotel and Begona was there early waiting for us. We really enjoyed the trip to Pazo do Faramello. The owner along with Begona gave us a private tour of this historic manor and the beautiful surrounding gardens. We enjoyed wandering through and hearing about the changes made over the years. The rooms we visited were filled with family furnishings and treasures. We highly recommend this tour.
