Hi, my name is Carmela, welcome to Galicia! I was born in Galicia, but I grew up in Germany, in Hamburg. After many years, I came back to Spain to my parent's land, Galicia. I have lived in Madrid and also La Coruña and today I move around all over my country and outside Europe when I have free time for myself. I have traveled through many countries and have friends and family in the UK, Germany, Switzerland, the US, South America, and New Zealand. I am a curious traveler, living and working full-time as a guide all over Galicia, Portugal sometimes and south Spain, for more than twelve years. I offer private and customized tours to visitors from all over the world arriving in cruise ships, for holidays, or for clients that have completed "The Camino" to Santiago de Compostela and want to discover more about our green corner of Spain: Galicia. This is the corner of Spain where you will discover our treasures of nature, gastronomie and kind people. Over 1400 km. coastline and not very hight mountains, the called land of the thousand rivers will surprise you! I always try to offer my clients the best experience in my working languages, English, German, and Spanish. I'm a person who loves traveling and sharing my experiences with people. I love to work showing my city and surroundings, guiding people to the best places, not only to the touristy ones. Living in a place with a food and wine culture like ours adds extra value to my tours. I'm interested in music, arts, traveling, painting, and home decoration. Singing and painting are my hobbies. I have participated in painting exhibitions and performed in small concerts. I have worked in schools as a German language teacher and have been a guide for 12 years, carrying out my work by accompanying my clients throughout the territory of Galicia, showing them our culture, gastronomy, and the world of wine. I think being a guide is a very interesting and rewarding profession because it allows me to meet and often make friends from all over the world. I'm always open to suggestions, special requests, and new adventures, so if there is anything you have in mind already, feel free to get in touch with me and tell me about it! - Diploma in Cruise Ship Tour Guide ( Intercruises Shoreside & Port Services) Barcelona 2012 - Diploma in German Language ( E.O.I. La Coruña ) (1981) - Translator and Interpreter - Studies in Bank Administrator I am not a licensed guide, and will not be able to guide you inside of the historical monuments, but there are no restrictions on providing information and guiding outside these locations.

How about a fantastic day in specially selected ALBARIÑO WINE CELLARS in the Salnés Valley? There, you will visit, learn, meet winemakers, and taste their wines. Sounds like a good plan? It would be a full day with a meal in a typically almost clandestine and unknown place for outsiders with a story behind. If the weather permits, we will have lunch under the vines. It would be an unforgettable experience for any wine lover and gastronomic culture enthusiast. The Salnés Valley is known for producing some of the best ALBARIÑO wines in the world, and exploring its wineries and vineyards would be a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the history and wine-making tradition of the region. Learning about the process of making Albariño wine, from grape harvesting to fermentation and bottling, would be enriching. Meeting winemakers would add a personal touch to the experience, it's possible with me, allowing visitors to hear firsthand the stories and passions behind each bottle. The tour is customizable!
Pickup from Santiago or Vigo: 1. We will first go to a personal and familiar winery, with the visit and tasting included. There, you will see how much hard work it is for a family doing all this harvest work. 2 . A second winery is on our route, another kind of wine cellar. Different, a little bigger but very special too. There, you can taste more wines . 3. After these two visits, we are going to have lunch in a typical local restaurant under the vines where you will taste the fresh and fruity house wine with the local food.(only if the weather make it posible or if the restaurant is open) 4. In the afternoon, the third and last visit will be a special experience. 5. The day goes over, and at our return to your hotel or port of call, I will show you the landscape of this wonderful route. The beach La Lanzada, the biggest of the area with beautiful views . Transfer back to Santiago or Vigo
