Dear guests, My name is Begoña and I am a Licensed tour guide in Galicia, an amazing region in the northwest of Spain. I was born and raised in a little village located on the mountains of this undiscovered Spanish green corner. Later I got my degree in tourism in Barcelona and after spending some time in Brighton (U. K. ) I went back to Santiago de Compostela where I have been living for the last 20 years. If you wish to discover the hidden corners of Santiago, don't hesitate to CALL ME! We will do it together. Based on historic and art features of course, but also related to climate, food, legends and hundreds of other facts that have managed to consolidate the personality of this land and its people. You will understand it and enjoy it and I'll love showing it to you. Our tour will be friendly, enthusiastic, flexible and perfectly adapted to your timings. Even in cases of physically challenged guests, we will find the way to reach the little alleys of Santiago, with a laid-back approach. Should you be a family with kids, w'll make them to have fun (I believe I developped a knack for children since my own child was born). Overview of your Santiago De Compostela tour
The old town of Santiago de Compostela is one of the most beautiful and better preserved medieval european cities, designated World Heritage Site by UNESCO since 1985. Located at the end of Way of Saint James (Camino de Santiago), is one of the most important pilgrimage routes in the world. Thousands and thousands of pilgrims walk towards Santiago de Compostela every year. All of them that I met enjoy the experience indeed. During the visit we will focus in the story of Sant James the Great, whose tomb is inside the catedral. We will walk around the main squares and also through the medieval porched and narrow strets. If the market is open, we will enjoy the atmosphere of the local farmers selling fresh products to citizens and restaurants…(The market is open on working days 8 am to 2pm)

My daughter and I took a private tour with Begonia first week of July 2026. She was delightful. We had a great experience with her giving us detailed information about Santiago, the Cathedral, as well as other churches close by. We toured the Mercado, where you can buy locally grown food, bread, pastries, etc. She even helped us by scheduling a taxi to get to the airport the next day. I highly recommend a tour with Begonia. Worth every penny!

Begoña is knowledgeable, personable, and professional. We learned a ton about Spain, Galecia, and Santiago de Campostela. It was a hot day so she modified the tour on the fly to keep us in the shade. She took us through the museum and into the Cathedral and then took advantage of a short line to get us into the crypt and then up behind the high altar. She gave us a list of restaurants that were great and her English is excellent! We strongly recommend her.
