Hello everyone! :-) My name is Eva González and I was born in The Basque Country, a place that I love!! I studied Tourism and Biology in the Basque Country, but I also studied in the USA, Finland, Sweden, Germany and France. I love and enjoy working with people so much, that as a guide I am lucky to be able to share my knowledge with people that come to visit Bilbao or San Sebastian. For me, it is always a great experience to share my passion and love for my hometown!! I am very passionate when I work. I always give my best and make people feel at home. I offer several tours in Bilbao, the coast and in San Sebastian. I am a big fan of history, architecture and gastronomy and I would love to meet you in one of my tours. I hope to see you soon! Eva Certifications: In the media galery you can see in the final picture my guide accreditation for the Basque Country in English, German and French. Since the end of the XIXth century, the rich families of Bilbao built their residences in the coast and created beautiful promenades along the seaside. Today their villas are a cultural heritage site and together with the Puente Colgante "The Bizkaia Bridge", which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, make the place a must for visitors who want to escape the city center for a while. We, the "Bilbainos", love to go there on weekends and sit on a terrace by the sea. Would you like to join us in this tradition and come to Getxo?
We will take the metro to go to Getxo. Once in Getxo, we will first visit the UNESCO World Heritage "The Bizkaia Bridge". We will take an elevator to the top of the bridge from where we will walk across the footbridge to the other side. The top of the bridge opens up a wide variety of scenic vistas to be admired!!! Then we will go to the viewpoint of the Basilica of Santa María in Portugalete. Then we will take the UNESCO bridge again. This time we will cross by its gondola and we will walk along the beautiful promenade by the sea to see the magnificent villas of Getxo. In the middle of our journey we will stop to have a drink in the picturesque fishing village of Algorta. This fishing village is very special, tiny, colorful and unique of its kind in the area. We will return by metro to Bilbao. Are you ready to enjoy the charms of the Vizcaya coast and discover the amazing engineering work of "Puente Colgate"? ;-)
