1. Nami Island is an inland island located on the border of Gyeonggi-do and Gangwon-do. In 1944, the island was created due to submergence caused by the construction of a dam. In December 2001, with the success of the KBS drama , the number of tourists from Asia including Taiwan, Japan, China, and Southeast Asia increased rapidly. It has been spotlighted as a "photogenic site" that people want to visit the most. 2. Petite France is a French cultural village set in the Korean countryside. It was designed with the theme concept, "flowers, stars, and the Little Prince". It is also a filming site of several Korean dramas. 3. The founder of Garden of Morning Calm was Professor Sang-Kyung Han, and he felt the need for a Korean garden that embodies the beauty of Korea while visiting gardens and botanical gardens around the world while serving as an exchange professor in the United States. Currently, about 5, 000 species of plants can be viewed in the Garden of 330, 000 square meters.
Benni went above and beyond for us! This was a holiday in Korea and the traffic was terrible. He pivoted and did all he could to make it a great day, even helping us get something from a store we needed. He is very knowledgable and his English is excellent. Highly recommend.
We had a great time seeing the sites outside of Seoul. Benny did a great job showing us around and explaining the different sites and history.
We took a total of 3 tours with Benny- no regrets. Every tour was well crafted, well organised and planned such that we missed most of the big tour groups and could enjoy the peaceful surroundings offered at each place. He is an excellent driver and guide at the same time. Customer comfort and needs are placed first and we felt like we were being brought around by a friend. If you like a personal touch and enjoy listening to history and local food that is non touristy, Benny is your guide!
My family and I enjoyed our day with Benny. As a guide, he offered discounts when we bought tickets, shared lots of interesting facts, took enough group pics to fill an album, and was just a sweet person to be around. I rate 4 instead of 5 because on his page it did say you could customize the tour (I offered three different things to do instead of petite France more than a month in advance, and he said he'd look at other options but we still went to petit France). Overall, still a nice day with Benny.
Benny was an absolute joy to work with! He's very thoughtful, considerate and friendly. He not only shared great facts and figures, but also some funny stories as well. And the lunch place he recommended was delicious! He's everything you're looking for in a tour guide!
Benny is a kind and patient guide, especially that I had elderly family members with me. This tour is very interesting as it brings you away from Seoul and allows you to enjoy the outdoors. It was a packed day and could be tiring, but expect to be able to take a lot of scenic and cute photos! He gives you enough time to go around at your own pace, and makes sure you are comfortable in the trip. Giving us bottled water each was a nice touch. Hope to see you in the future, Benny!
