Hello! I'm Michelle, a passionate Panamanian tour guide who delights in connecting travelers with authentic experiences in Panama. I have a degree in Tourism, a Postgraduate in Higher Education, and a Master's in Sustainable Tourism Management. I honed my English skills at the University of Florida. With 21 years in tourism, I specialize in travel design and am a certified tour guide with expertise in Protected Areas, Wildlife Conservation, Interpretation, Water Safety, First Aid, birdwatching, whale-watching, and sustainable tourism.
I cater to solo travelers, couples, families, friends, older adults, and large groups, where I share the history, diverse culture, adventures, and nature that Panama offers. Being a tour guide is not just a job; it's a passion. I enjoy meeting new people, sharing cultural perspectives, and facilitating memorable experiences that engage their senses.
I am a proactive and realistic, winner of the 2023 Innovative Community Tourism Experiences competition. My mission is to promote sustainable tourism and contribute to local development through responsible and culturally enriching travel experiences. I am committed to using culture as a vehicle for sustainable development and adventure tourism. With pride, as a leader in my field, I look forward to continuing to positively impact sustainable development and cultural preservation through tourism. Greetings!
