Panama City and Gamboa Day Tour: Casco Viejo, Wildlife and Nature

Join me for an immersive full-day experience of Panama City, chocolate, wildlife, and culture included. We'll begin in Casco Viejo, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where history lives in its cobblestone streets. We'll visit the Mola Museum, dedicated to the textile art of Panama's indigenous Kuna people, stop for a cup of world-renowned Geisha coffee, and stroll through Plaza Francia, where ocean views backdrop a vibrant artisanal market, before visiting the Museo del Chocolate, where Panama's cacao heritage gets its due. In the afternoon we head out to Gamboa, at the edge of Soberanía National Park, to explore Summit Botanical Gardens and Zoo, a rescue and rehabilitation center where jaguars, tapirs, and monkeys live among 250 hectares of tropical forest. We'll walk shaded trails past towering bamboo and rare palms, and come face to face with the harpy eagle, Panama's national bird. Throughout, I'll share stories and local perspective to make the trip fun and memorable.
