My name is Javier Nuñez, I was born in Panama. I am a tour guide in my country with 15 years of experience. What led me to become a tour guide in Panama was my love for my country and the realization that with this beautiful profession I would have the opportunity to show tourists from around the world the wonderful places that Panama has to offer, including its beaches on both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, its forests and natural parks, and it would allow me to tell them about our history, which dates back to the arrival of the first human groups in the 1500s, followed by the Spanish conquest, the colonial era, and our independence. Or how the construction of the Panama Canal began in the 1800s by the French and was completed in 1914 by the Americans. Having the opportunity to show you more about our culture, cuisine, indigenous reserves, and all the wonders of this small country with a huge heart will make your stay unforgettable. If you have any special requests, I'll be happy to help, so you can take home the most beautiful memories of my Panama.

Overview of your Panama City tour

I will take you to iconic sites throughout Panama, offering a deep dive into the colonial past, its achievements throughout the ages, its modern structures, and breathtaking views of our city. We'll begin by visiting the Panama Canal, where we'll observe the passage of different classes of vessels from the Pacific Ocean to the Atlantic. We'll also have the opportunity to watch a 45-minute film that tells the story from the 1500s. We'll visit the canal administration building. We will visit the Old Town and walk through the charming colonial heart of Panama City, with its brick streets, colorful buildings, and monuments such as the Metropolitan Cathedral and Plaza de Francia. At Amador Causeway, we will have the opportunity to admire panoramic views of Panama City, the Pacific Ocean, and the nearby islands. We will visit the Bridge of the Americas, inaugurated on October 12, 1962. This tour offers a perfect combination of history, architecture, natural beauty, and the modern engineering of the Panama Canal.
