My name is Javier Nuñez, I was born in Panama. I am a tour guide in my country with 15 years of experience. What led me to become a tour guide in Panama was my love for my country and the realization that with this beautiful profession I would have the opportunity to show tourists from around the world the wonderful places that Panama has to offer, including its beaches on both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, its forests and natural parks, and it would allow me to tell them about our history, which dates back to the arrival of the first human groups in the 1500s, followed by the Spanish conquest, the colonial era, and our independence. Or how the construction of the Panama Canal began in the 1800s by the French and was completed in 1914 by the Americans. This lake covers a surface area of just over 425 square kilometres and is the perfect habitat for a wide variety of mammal, bird, reptile, and fish species. During this tour, we'll have the chance to appreciate the natural beauty of this site, home to capuchin, howler, and tamarin monkeys. With luck, we might spot toucans, parrots, iguanas, capybaras, turtles, and crocodiles, among other species. Join us for this unforgettable experience as we sail across this wonderful lake, located approximately 26 meters above sea level, and pass by giant ships that use this route to bridge the gap between oceans.
