My name is Javier Nuñez, I was born in Panama. I am a tour guide in my country with 15 years of experience. What led me to become a tour guide in Panama was my love for my country and the realization that with this beautiful profession I would have the opportunity to show tourists from around the world the wonderful places that Panama has to offer, including its beaches on both the Pacific and Atlantic coasts, its forests and natural parks, and it would allow me to tell them about our history, which dates back to the arrival of the first human groups in the 1500s, followed by the Spanish conquest, the colonial era, and our independence. Or how the construction of the Panama Canal began in the 1800s by the French and was completed in 1914 by the Americans. Having the opportunity to show you more about our culture, cuisine, indigenous reserves, and all the wonders of this small country with a huge heart will make your stay unforgettable. If you have any special requests, I'll be happy to help, so you can take home the most beautiful memories of my Panama.

On this fabulous tour we will have the opportunity to cross the Bridge of the Americas inaugurated on October 12, 1962 to go from there to visit the Miraflores Visitor Center. We will pass through the Pedro Miguel Locks and cross the Centennial Bridge which was inaugurated on August 14, 2004, to head towards Gamboa where we will take a boat to navigate the artificial Gatun Lake and we will have the opportunity to observe the fauna and flora. We will also be able to observe birds, iguanas, monkeys and, if we are lucky, sloths in their natural environment. Then we will cross the third bridge in the Atlantic which was inaugurated on August 2, 2017. It is an incredible experience to then go to the Gatun Locks and the Agua Claras Visitor Center to observe the ships that pass through the new lock system of the Panama Canal.
