San Sebastian del Oeste is one my favorite villages to visit in this region. Located up in the Sierra Madre Mountains, only 2 hours from Puerto Vallarta, we discover this quaint little village with a rich history and a long silver mining tradition. Founded by Spanish Conquistadors back in the XVII Century, San Sebastian del Oeste has been a witness of Mexican history throughout all these years. I feel a connection with these villages, because my grandparents came from this region of Jalisco. San Sebastian del Oeste gives me the chance to connect with my past and to glimpse the beauty of simplicity of old days. You will discover the charm of San Sebastian as you walk the quaint cobbled stone streets and look at the old adobe houses roofed with terracota tiles, and you'll smell the aroma of fresh roasted coffee mixed with the cool breeze from the pine forest. I can customize your tour to meet your needs and interests.
• As we drive east of Puerto Vallarta we'll see the country side (rural life of Puerto Vallarta) • Stop at "Las Palmas" for bathrooms and pictures (brief) • Photo stop at puente "El progreso" Beautiful views of the Sierra Madre Mountains. • Visit to Quinta Mary, The Sanchez family coffee plantation ( A chance to taste local coffee and some other goodies) • We will take a walk through the narrow streets to discover the highlights of San Sebastian, including the Parrish (XVII) • Free time for lunch. • Stop at a Tequila and raicilla distillery (A chance to taste and learn about tequila and "raicilla" the traditional spirit from the mountains) • Return to Puerto Vallarta.
