Hello and Bienvenidos a Mexico! My name is Thalia, born and raised in Mexico City. Starting as an amateur naturalist from a young age and later on dedicating my school years to the study of life, I decided to become a biologist. The ocean and marine life had always fascinated me, so I decided to pursue my studies in that area and earned a Master's degree in Marine Ecology, specializing in marine mammal behavior. I have worked in many areas going from being a waitress to becoming a teacher, when as I was studying as was also a junior researcher. Later on, I entered the tourism industry working as a lifeguard and then as a guide and a travel agent. That's when I decided to become an official tourist guide certified by the Mexican Tourism Board. I grab every available opportunity to jump in a car, bus, train, or boat to travel. I have visited most of Mexico and have been to the USA, Canada, Cuba, Costa Rica and several countries in Europe. I enjoy sharing my experiences and teaching, therefore as I entered the world of tourism, I found the perfect opportunity to get in touch with other cultures, to teach and learn while having fun and respecting nature. Never a dull moment on my tours, always seeking for adventure, and trying to make the most out of every experience. My guests, become my friends. . . as we say in Mexico: Mi casa es tu casa! Puerto Vallarta is one of the Pacific Gems in Mexico. Well known for its naturally beautiful settings, friendliness, Mexican feeling and safety, this beautiful town has welcomed many travelers. My goal is to make you fall in love with the city that I fell in love with On this walking tour, we'll get to explore the tourism and the local faces of Vallarta. We will walk along many areas and marvel at the architecture, the cobblestone streets, the views to the bay. I will provide you with my vision and understanding of Sculptures, murals, folk art present in the city. As a biologist I can explain about the Beautiful flowers, plants, and animals that make the city prettier and provide the natural touch. You will learn about what and how Puerto Vallarta was created, as I guide you one step at a time. We will then enjoy a nice lunch at a popular local restaurant, offering different Mexican dishes on a varied menu.
Thalia gave an amazing tour. We really enjoyed the descriptions of the statues and artwork along the boardwalk. Lunch was delicious. The candy sampling was really fun and included some tequila samples too. We bought some of everything! Overall just a really great day.

What a great day! Thalia is charming, easy going, respectful, friendly and a wealth of information. It's so refreshing to meet people who are so passionate about their work, their culture and the place they live at. The tour was all that was promised and beyond, I learned so much and enjoyed it fully. Having a biologist as a city tour guide might seem odd, but Thalia's point of view as a biologist added so much more to the experience. Lunch was delicious , real Mexican homemade! Thalia was excellent! My friend and I decided to take this tour while our husbands were out on another. We throughly enjoyed Thalia's in depth knowledge of Puerto Vallarta. She covered the area history, speciality food and drinks, and even some shopping. It was great learning more about the area than what the average tourist sees. Thank you, Thalia!
