Beyond Puerto Vallarta food tour

Erika was amazing. So knowledgeable about the culture, history and natural beauty of the area. We headed south, out of Puerto Vallarta and into the more hilly areas outside the City. We ate at a wonderful roadside restaurant where we were the only non-local folks, walked around a village and sipped coffee in the town square watching the daily life go by. Botanic Gardens, more food, more fun. Erika was great! We highly recommend her for a unique day and super fun day.

My husband and I LOVED this tour! Our first stop was El Tuito where we had an authentic Mexican breakfast (machaca for my husband, chile filled with cheese for me). In the town square, we purchased pajarete - a drink made from fresh goat's milk (right out of the goat!), chocolate, sugar and cane alcohol - it was surprisingly tasty! We also purchased a small piece of pottery from a local potter and walked inside the municipal building. We then went to Mayto beach which is absolutely stunning! A great beach for a walk and photos. Then - on to Tehuamixtle for lunch next to the beach. We ordered oysters (the restaurant's specialty). The grilled oysters were delicious - we were so happy to have Mario teach us how to eat them using the various accoutrements at the table. Tatiana and Mario are so warm and personable - we felt as though we had spent the day with friends!

Tatiana is the perfect tour guide. She is knowledgable, experienced, excellent company, but, above all, hugely enthusiastic about her home country. She timed our visits perfectly, and ensured that the four of us enjoyed the most wonderful day! We cannot compliment her too highly, and we sincerely thank her for guaranteeing us a truly memorable experience. Thank you, Tatiana, for making our holiday so special! We hope to meet you again!

What a fantastic tour! We had a wonderful time with Tatiana. She was patient, kind and really thoughtful as we had some special needs on our tour. She also had fantastic knowledge and indulged our every question during the tour. When we make our way back to PV, we'll be sure to book some time with Tatiana again!
