We booked a full day tour with Thalia. I had a few things I needed in the lead up to the day, she was helpful in helping me change the number of people attending and answered my questions. On the day she was wonderful. There was 10 of us on a VIP snorkelling tour down to Yelapa, and she was so accommodating to our group. She is highly qualified in marine life, so she was able to provide all sorts of information about the environment and the animals we encountered. In Yelapa she provided a lot of information about the town and its history, and even helped some of us negotiate purchases of goods with the locals! The place we went to for lunch was sooooo great - a seafood restaurant on the beach in Las Animas. We had the best day, all of our group was raving about the tour and what a great time we had.

Starting as an amateur naturalist from a young age and later on dedicating my school years to the study of life, I decided to become a biologist. The ocean and marine life had always fascinated me, so I decided to pursue my studies in that area and earned a Master's degree in Marine Ecology, specializing in marine mammal behavior. Later on, I entered the tourism industry working as a lifeguard and then as a guide and a travel agent. That's when I decided to become an official tourist guide certified by the Mexican Tourism Board. I grab every available opportunity to jump in a car, bus, train, or boat to travel. I have visited most of Mexico and have been to the USA, Canada, Cuba, Costa Rica and several countries in Europe. I enjoy sharing my experiences and teaching, therefore as I entered the world of tourism, I found the perfect opportunity to get in touch with other cultures, to teach and learn while having fun and respecting nature. Overview of your Puerto Vallarta tour
Depending on weather conditions we will be able to explore the charming town of Yelapa, and walk to the beautiful waterfall. Here, you'll see how a small rural beach town has been influences by tourism. Then we will go snorkeling at a natural small cove, close to Majahuitas, where you will be able to spot different birds, such as the peculiar blue-footed booby (thought to inhabit only at the Galapagos Islands) as well as frigate bird, pelicans, herons and many other resident and migratory birds. As a marine biologist, I never stop to be amazed at what Nature can show us, biodiversity is so rich in some of the smallest coves in the area. Once in the water, you'll observe many types of marine animals interacting with their natural environment. And by having me as your guide you will learn about them, and the importance of their presence. After having enjoyed the water, we will visit Las Animas. This is a popular beach with different restaurants and water activities, or else just to enjoy the beach.
