Hello and Bienvenidos a Mexico! My name is Thalia, born and raised in Mexico City. Starting as an amateur naturalist from a young age and later on dedicating my school years to the study of life, I decided to become a biologist. The ocean and marine life had always fascinated me, so I decided to pursue my studies in that area and earned a Master's degree in Marine Ecology, specializing in marine mammal behavior. I have worked in many areas going from being a waitress to becoming a teacher, when as I was studying as was also a junior researcher. Later on, I entered the tourism industry working as a lifeguard and then as a guide and a travel agent. That's when I decided to become an official tourist guide certified by the Mexican Tourism Board. I grab every available opportunity to jump in a car, bus, train, or boat to travel. I have visited most of Mexico and have been to the USA, Canada, Cuba, Costa Rica and several countries in Europe. I enjoy sharing my experiences and teaching, therefore as I entered the world of tourism, I found the perfect opportunity to get in touch with other cultures, to teach and learn while having fun and respecting nature. Never a dull moment on my tours, always seeking for adventure, and trying to make the most out of every experience. My guests, become my friends. . . as we say in Mexico: Mi casa es tu casa! So Welcome to my world, I'll do everything possible for you to fall in love with it! The name translates into "The Arches", one of the iconic sites of Puerto Vallarta. The place is a three rocks formation to the south side of the bay on the way to Mismaloya. Arches are indeed present, and swimming through these natural tunnels is a must do! This place has a beautiful scenery above and under water and is filled with an incredible biodiversity (fish, reptiles, and birds). One of the deepest points of the bay, called the Devil's Canyon, is there and it's great for diving. Having a marine biologist as a guide, provides with that extra information about the underworld, that many don't know. Marvel at fun facts about the différente animals that we'll see and maybe we'll also find my favourite fish swimming around us! Los Arcos is a protected area and no anchoring or fishing.Different species of marine life enjoy the safety and productivity of the waters. You might spot some angelfish, sergeant majors, damselfish, rainbow, gobies, eels, star fish, giant manta rays & much more.
• Meeting with the guide • Educational brief lecture about Banderas Bay as we cruise to the south of the bay. • Arrival to Los Arcos • Snorkeling • Boat ride to Mismaloya- panoramic view of the area. • Cruise back to port
