Hi, my name is Álvaro. I am a Spanish tour guide that has been living in Malta for a decade. Guiding and learning are my passion, and I keep them alive by doing what none else do, so if you are looking for a different tour, I am are your man :) If your are looking for a traditional tour I can happily make it , as this are the kind of tours I do daily, but I really would like to take advantage of the options that this page gives to me to show you the most beautiful, unique and inusual places that these amazing islands can offer youby doing tours which are not usually offered but have some of the most amazing Maltese features. I have been living long enough in Malta to know a lot of things (there is always something new to learn) but apart from that I am an inquiring person who wants to know always a bit more. In fact, that is how I started working in tourism years ago, discovering that tour guiding was my loved job. That's why I am involved in several activities (reenachtment, trekking, activism. . . ), so I can learn a bit more about this little, but full of secrets, archipelago. And that's why I want to offer people something different. Overview of your Valletta tour
This is a tour to see some of the most beautiful and best-known spots of Malta in a different way, and with a special magic. If you are interested into the darkest side of the cities (murders, ghosts, legends. . . ) let me know and I will change a bit the itinerary to try to scare you a bit ;) We will visit Mdina, called the City of Silence. In this tour you will understand why! Empty of tourists the city it is illuminated on a way which makes (even easier than usually) us to be transported centuries ago. We will walk the medieval streets which echo our steps, creating an amazing atmosphere. On our way to Valletta I will suggest you a short stop for you to see another main spot under a different light. And we proceed to Valletta, the capital of Malta and UNESCO city. The city during the night is lovely in a different way. It is majestically illuminated, showing a serene beauty. The honey buildings turn into impressive palaces, the busy little streets into charming nooks.
Your Valletta tour itinerary
We start with Mdina, where we can visit most of the city, passing by its more famous places, like the cathedral, its palazzos, churches. . . As said, I will suggest you to do a stop in order to take a picture that I am sure you'll be happy to have. We finish in Valletta, where we will visit the main streets of the city, but also many backstreets which have a special beauty during the night (do not worry about criminality in Valletta. You are in one of the safest cities in the world!) The route can change according to your preferences, but some highlighted ones are: Tritons fountain Palazzo Ferreria Republic street and square Grandmaster palace Many others! We will also pass by the Red district, where we can stop for a beer or you can even stay for dinner We will have transportation for 4 hours, so I can pick you up and drop you off in your hotel. If you decide to stay longer (for beers or a dinner) let me know in advance to arrange ir All places will be closed
