Hola! My name is Silvia and I am a professional tour guide in Malta. Originally from Ecuador, I moved here in the year 2000 and I have been a guide for the past 20 years. Malta is my second home and this is my dream job. Like you dear visitor, I was once a tourist and after discovering that this tiny archipelago has 7000+ years of history in only 316 SQ KM, I fell in love with its narrow streets and medieval towns. After 25 years, I still feel I am living in the land of the eternal sunshine (we have 300 days of sun a year). I have the knowledge and experience to make you discover our little gem in the heart of the Mediterranean Sea. Maltese culture is a wonderful mixture of different cultures and I have a passion for Maltese folklore. Anecdotes, superstitions and of course the history of every place we visit are part of the tours I deliver. Keeping in mind that this is your holiday or vacation, I will always make a point to let you enjoy your time in Malta, and adjust to your needs at the time of our tour. With me, you don't have to be shy and you can ask any questions regarding any aspects of everyday life in Malta. I will make my utmost effort to answer you in a timely manner, and if there is something I don't know I will find the information for you and for me. My biggest weakness is food, and in Malta, we are spoilt for choice of amazing places to try delicious Mediterranean dishes. So don't be surprised if I suggest a shortstop to savour one of our local delicacies. Or maybe just to sit down and relax in a typical square of a quaint village and sink into the atmosphere. These are just a few of a thousand reasons why I love Malta, and why I would be happy to take you on a journey to the past in a fun, informative and entertaining way. This is the perfect way to make the most of your day in Malta. A panoramic private tour made specifically for people with mobility or walking restrictions, or simply for those who just want to enjoy a nice drive with the running commentary of your private guide recounting 7000 years of history of the Maltese archipelago. There will be many photo opportunities and of course, some time for a light snack or refreshments and some souvenir shopping to take back home. If you are a passenger on a cruise ship and your time on the island is short, then this is the tour you are looking for.
We will drive around the fortifications of Valletta, the capital city of Malta. You will have the opportunity to admire the impressive walls surrounding it. From here, we head towards the South and we make a stop at the fishing village of Marsaxlokk, where you will have enough time to walk along the sea promenade, enjoy the view of the Luzzu, Maltese fishing boats, and browse the several kiosks plus stands offering you a variety of local crafts. This is a good opportunity for souvenir shopping. Continuing to the South, our next stop will be the view of the Blue Grotto, a natural formation. If the weather is good, you can opt to take a boat ride through the natural caves. Then, we will drive through the rare countryside of Malta, stopping at Dingli, the highest point on the island for another photo opportunity. We will drive to the centre of the island towards the ancient city of Mdina, then slowly making our way back to the starting point.

This is a panoramic tour done mostly in a modern chauffeur driven private transport with A/C, with little walking in certain stops within the itinerary.
