Hi, I’m Mariella, a proud Maltese local, born and raised on the Mediterranean island of Malta. I live in the historic area of the Three Cities, where the Knights of Malta first established their base when they arrived here in the 16th century. This was long before they crossed the Grand Harbour to build the iconic city of Valletta. The Three Cities, are rich in history and offer a fascinating glimpse into Malta’s past, with winding streets, ancient forts and a blend of cultures that have shaped the island over centuries. Educated in Malta, I’ve always had a deep appreciation for our heritage, culture, and traditions. This passion inspired me to become a tour guide, sharing the hidden stories, beautiful landmarks and unique experiences that make Malta such a captivating destination. Whether you're exploring the impressive fortifications of the Three Cities, learning about the Knights of St. John, or discovering the island's fascinating blend of cultures, I look forward to showing you the Malta I know and love. During our tour, we’ll also take time to indulge in one of Malta's beloved street food traditions, the iconic pastizzi! These delicious pastry treats filled with ricotta cheese or peas are a true taste of local life and no visit to Malta would be complete without sampling them. While I’m new to the platform and don’t yet have reviews, I’m excited to offer personalised, memorable tours and I look forward to receiving your feedback. I believe the best way to truly understand a place is to experience it through the eyes of someone who calls it home and I’m eager to share the hidden gems of Malta with you. From the stunning architectural wonders to the lesser known spots tucked away from the crowds, my aim is to provide an authentic Maltese experience that will leave you with lasting memories. I can't wait to welcome you to Malta, share the stories and tastes that make this island so special and hear your thoughts after the tour!

Mariela was amazing! We completely enjoyed our morning with her and came to appreciate Malta and its people on a whole new level. We would recommend her services without hesitation and with full confidence that she would provide her clients an accurate history of her home city, complete with some little known details that are just fun to know. Thank you Mariella!! Just fabulous!
Mariella was an absolute wonderful guide. She went above and beyond in sharing her knowledge of Valletta. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and learned so much about the history of Malta and Valletta. Would definitely recommend Mariella! Her tour exceeded all of our expectations.
Great tour. Mariella is knowledgeable and engaging. She is current and fun. I was able to communicate to her before the tour and she was very responsive and willing to assist beyond this tour with things to do. I highly recommend her!
We had a wonderful time with Mariella. She has a thorough knowledge of everything to do with this wonderful island. She is obviously very much liked by the people working in the public places and with her you do not wait in any lines. Kind, thoughtful with a good sense of humour she will be you perfect guide. 100% recommended!
Mariella is an amazing guide, enthusiastic, knowledgeable and highly competent. She found us when we got ourselves turned around, and took us for a comprehensive walking tour of Valletta. We knew only what we had read about Malta in Wikipedia, but Mariella explained the history, society and small details in a way that only a local could. She maneuvered us through the crowds in St. John’s Co-Cathedral in such a manner that we ended up nearly alone with Caravaggio’s magnificent St. Jerome Writing and The Beheading of St. John the Baptist. Malta is an amazing place that far exceeded our expectations, and Mariella brought it to life with knowledge, grace and humor. The time flew by, and she made sure we got back to our cruise ship without getting lost again. Thank you, Mariella, for a lovely afternoon, with an equally lovely person.
Absolutely fantastic. Consider yourself lucky if you are able to reserve her for a tour. Mariella is extremely knowledgeable and provides a very understandable and detailed presentation of Malta’s incredible history and cultural background.
