Hi everyone! I’m Lucy, and I’m excited to introduce myself. I’m originally from the south of France, and my journey has taken me through both France and Germany, where I worked in fashion and costume design before life led me to Japan. In 2019, my husband’s work brought us to Kanazawa, and it didn’t take long for this beautiful city to capture my heart. Since then, we’ve welcomed two wonderful children here, making our connection to Kanazawa even deeper. Over the years, I’ve completely fallen for its charm, the history, the craftsmanship, the peaceful gardens, and the welcoming people. Becoming a guide has been such a rewarding part of this adventure. I love meeting people from all over the world and helping them experience the magic of Kanazawa, from its rich cultural traditions to its hidden corners and unique local flavors. Speaking of flavors, Kanazawa’s food scene is something I can’t get enough of! Whether it’s fresh seafood, delicate sweets, or cozy little cafés, I’m always excited to share my favorite spots. I also take pride in creating tours that feel personal and flexible, tailored to the interests and pace of each guest. Whether you’re looking for a deep dive into history, a relaxed city stroll, or a food-lovers’ adventure, I’m here to make sure your visit is exactly what you want it to be. When I’m not guiding, you’ll probably find me exploring new places around town, trying my hand at local crafts like pottery, or out in nature enjoying a hike with my family. For me, guiding is about so much more than showing you places, it’s about connection, discovery, and sharing the beauty of this incredible city that I’m lucky to call home. I can’t wait to meet you and create some wonderful memories together in Kanazawa!

Today's trip takes us off the beaten path into Kanazawa's countryside, a region renowned for its agriculture, crafts, hot springs, and scenic beauty. Natadera Temple, nestled within cliffs and forests, offers a unique scenery where dramatic rock formations exist in harmony with spiritual architecture—to me, the Nr.1 Temple in Japan. They say green soothes the heart and mind in Japan. At Hiyo Moss Garden, we’ll let the lush greenery wash over us. Yamanaka Onsen, one of the most charming hot spring towns with a history of over 1,300 years, has a relaxed atmosphere, scenic beauty, soothing hot springs, and is famous for its lacquerware, with elegant wood-turned designs that highlight the natural grain.
After meeting your driver at your accommodation, we’ll set off by private car. - Hiyo Moss Forest (20 min drive) Wander through a forest of soft moss in 100 shades of green, letting the peaceful surroundings wash over you. - Natadera Temple (10 min drive) Explore this enchanting temple, where dramatic rock formations and spiritual architecture create a serene, magical atmosphere. - Kutani pottery Kiln museum (10 min drive) we will see the oldest ceramic kiln and artisans at work - visit different artisan shops specialised in woodwork and Lacquerware - Yamanaka Onsen (15 min drive) Enjoy lunch, stroll along the scenic Kakusenkei Gorge and soak up the town’s relaxed vibe. - Return to Kanazawa (about 1h 10 min drive) Optional stops along the way if time allows.
