Hi everyone! I’m Lucy, and I’m excited to introduce myself. I’m originally from the south of France, and my journey has taken me through both France and Germany, where I worked in fashion and costume design before life led me to Japan. In 2019, my husband’s work brought us to Kanazawa, and it didn’t take long for this beautiful city to capture my heart. Since then, we’ve welcomed two wonderful children here, making our connection to Kanazawa even deeper. Over the years, I’ve completely fallen for its charm, the history, the craftsmanship, the peaceful gardens, and the welcoming people. Becoming a guide has been such a rewarding part of this adventure. I love meeting people from all over the world and helping them experience the magic of Kanazawa, from its rich cultural traditions to its hidden corners and unique local flavors. Speaking of flavors, Kanazawa’s food scene is something I can’t get enough of! Whether it’s fresh seafood, delicate sweets, or cozy little cafés, I’m always excited to share my favorite spots. I also take pride in creating tours that feel personal and flexible, tailored to the interests and pace of each guest. Whether you’re looking for a deep dive into history, a relaxed city stroll, or a food-lovers’ adventure, I’m here to make sure your visit is exactly what you want it to be. When I’m not guiding, you’ll probably find me exploring new places around town, trying my hand at local crafts like pottery, or out in nature enjoying a hike with my family. For me, guiding is about so much more than showing you places, it’s about connection, discovery, and sharing the beauty of this incredible city that I’m lucky to call home. I can’t wait to meet you and create some wonderful memories together in Kanazawa!

The remote Noto Peninsula stretches roughly 100 kilometers into the Sea of Japan. Its secluded location and timeless charm offer the perfect escape from Kanazawa and Japan’s bustling cities. Along its rugged coastlines, you’ll find fishing villages, agricultural landscapes, and living traditions in craftsmanship that have endured for centuries. Winding coastal roads will lead us past dramatic cliffs and quiet beaches with scenic stops along the way. In early 2024, a major earthquake struck the Noto Peninsula, leaving a lasting impact on its communities, landscapes, and cultural heritage. While recovery efforts are ongoing, visible signs of damage remain throughout the region and may evoke strong emotional responses. This meaningful road trip invites you to explore Noto’s breathtaking landscapes and enduring traditions while directly supporting the people and places working hard to rebuild.
I will meet you at your accommodation together with the driver, and we will begin our adventure from there. Highlights of the tour include: - Cruise along the Chirihama Nagisa Beach Driveway - Visit the beautiful Myōjō-ji Temple complex - Explore a former samurai residence - Stop at scenic spots such as Hatago Iwa Rock - Embark on a short sea cruise at Ganmon / Noto Kongō - Visit a traditional soy sauce producer Upon request, the tour can be customized to venture further into the peninsula, reaching Wajima, a town deeply affected by the earthquake and renowned for its lacquerware. From there, enjoy the unique view of the Senmaida rice fields overlooking the Sea of Japan, or visit a sea salt farm. The itinerary remains flexible throughout the tour, and adjustments can be made at any time to suit your pace. Please feel free to reach out with any special requests—I would be delighted to create a personalized and unforgettable experience for you.
