Hi everyone! I’m Lucy, and I’m excited to introduce myself. I’m originally from the south of France, and my journey has taken me through both France and Germany, where I worked in fashion and costume design before life led me to Japan. In 2019, my husband’s work brought us to Kanazawa, and it didn’t take long for this beautiful city to capture my heart. Since then, we’ve welcomed two wonderful children here, making our connection to Kanazawa even deeper. Over the years, I’ve completely fallen for its charm, the history, the craftsmanship, the peaceful gardens, and the welcoming people. Becoming a guide has been such a rewarding part of this adventure. I love meeting people from all over the world and helping them experience the magic of Kanazawa, from its rich cultural traditions to its hidden corners and unique local flavors. Speaking of flavors, Kanazawa’s food scene is something I can’t get enough of! Whether it’s fresh seafood, delicate sweets, or cozy little cafés, I’m always excited to share my favorite spots. Lucy took us on an exceptional tour in Kanazawa (craft and cultural tour) with a hands-on experience to decorate chopsticks with gold leaves, an activity our children (14 and 7) enjoyed very much. Lucy is very knowledgeable and warm, perfectly fluent in French and German. Also, she gave us very good tips for further visits in Kanazawa, a place we intend to come back to. We just had a 1/2 day Craft and Cultural tour of Kanazawa with Lucy and she was absolutely the perfect local guide. She knew the complete history and filled us in on a slew of questions about ancient Kanazawa, the Samurai, the historic Geisha districts, crafts (including a fab knife store!), food, bars, and anything else we could think of. Her communication in advance of the tour via Whats App was excellent. Perfect speaking English (and 3 other languages), she met us at our hotel and spirited us on our way. We could not have imagined a better guided experience. She's simply the best!
The best money spent during the whole vacation. I decided to book a local on my first day in Japan. As luck would have it, Lucy fit me into her schedule.
