Ciao! I am pleased to meet you. My name is Antonella and I would love to show you Verona and Lake Garda though my eyes. I am a licensed city and hiking guide and I have a degree in History of Art. I live not far from Verona, by lake Garda, surrounded by nature, with a huge cultural heritage and are rich in history and local traditions. When I was young my passion for traveling brought me to South America, where I spent six months backpacking through different countries. The highlight of that experience was volunteering for a non-profit organization in Peru, where I had the chance to discover how people truly lived there. Since then, whenever I visit a new country or place I look for its "authentic side", the events which determined the history, the folklore and the culinary traditions. Art and Architecture are also very important, as they are the tangible expression of the past and the identity of a land. This is exactly what I'd like to give you during my tours: it's me, living here, with the love for my land and my curiosity for different cultures. I am convinced that every time I say good-bye to my guests I have given them a part of my country, whilst also learning something about theirs. I enjoy working with all people, as well as with families, children and people with disabilities. I'd be more than happy to plan a tailor-made tour for you. Please contact me if you need any more information or any special requirements. What I also love are open air activities: I am a tireless hiker, a passionate cyclist and I recharge my batteries in natural environments. As a licensed hiker and bike-guide, I can also take you on a hiking or biking tour through the villages around Lake Garda, Verona and the amazing Valpolicella wine district. I look forward to meeting you! 2021 license as environmental, bike and hike guide 2018 license as tour guide 2011 degree in History of Art at the University of Verona 2001 license as tour leader I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

This scenic route unfolds mostly along the beautiful Mincio River Cycle Path, with the chance to explore the heart of Mincio Park and its unspoiled nature. After a short stop in Borghetto sul Mincio, one of the most charming and picturesque villages in the Verona area, we will walk or cycle uphill to the Scaligeri Castle of Valeggio, where history meets breathtaking panoramic views. On request, you can join a cooking class to prepare the famous Valeggio tortellini, or enjoy a leisurely lunch by the river at one of Borghetto’s inviting restaurants. The return ride is smooth and relaxing along the cycle path, with optional detours to admire the evocative scenery of the Morenic Hills, a unique landscape shaped by ancient glaciers. I would be delighted to guide you along this route, as it winds through the beautiful area where I live and love to share with others.
