I was born in Toronto, Canada, where I spent my first childhood years. Still a young child, my family decided to return to Turin on a back to the roots spur. After the transoceanic move and a few years, I graduated in languages (English, Spanish and French) and attained a postgraduate degree as an English/Italian interpreter and translator, by which I landed my first few 9 to 5 job for want of independence; shortly I realised I needed more adventure to my life and I studied and qualified to become a licensed tour guide and registered with the Regione Piemonte tour guide board. Taking that step instantly propelled me into the world of tour guiding and allowed me to co-found my own tour guide company. Those years forged my deep knowledge of Turin and the entire Piedmont region. I specialised as an organiser and supervisor for didactic trips concerned with archaeology, Egyptology, Modern and Contemporary Art and History of Risorgimento. Since then, taking care of groups of all sizes and nature and showing them around one of the most surprisingly interesting areas of Italy, Turin and its region, has become my mission. After a 8-year unforgettable experience in a team, it was time for me to go solo and since then I have increased my knowledge of the territory and its hotels, resorts, sightseeing spots and territorial bodies. I have specialised in press and educational trips for both private and public companies, and I have distinguished myself as a location and site manager and site producer for a number of television broadcasting companies shooting on location their programmes and documentaries. A key role position in the NBC television production as a tour guide and VIP welcoming and tours manager, together with a variety of trouble shooting and problem solving issues during the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, has allowed me to push my organisational skills and the ability to liaise with multicultural environments even further. My private walking tours and public tours around this corner of Italy have proved to be among the best on offer in Turin. And for the more curious eye, the following lists in detail the main companies I have worked for throughout the years: Olivetti & C. S. p. A. ; Osai A-B (Rockwell Group); Associazione Culturale Itineraria, founder partner; Time Out Guides Limited, contributor to the Turin Guide's first edition; Regione Piemonte, several and different collaborations; Discovery Channel, for programmes "Torino 2006 - The traveller's Guide", "Stranded with Cash Peters - Turin Episode"; NBC - New York Corporate Events, as VIP educational management and supervisor. And more adventure is to come… Certified Tour guide since 1994. Certified Tour manager since 1995.

At every Slow Food Festival (Salone del Gusto in Italian) "slow foodistas" gather every second year to celebrate local and traditional world food cultures and forgotten foods grown with respect and integrity. If you have never heard about all of the above but you have a curious traveler's stomach, this could be your best bet at discovering an Italian city, far from the maddening crowds! I personally go to market places every time I need to do my grocery shopping, so I know almost all local markets. Join me if you want to share this experience as a real local! I can show you the best spots! Please note that open air markets are open only on weekday mornings and Saturdays all day long.
- Check out the farmers' with a detailed visit to the a farmers' market where you will discover fresh produce and local products. - The tour continues with a leisurely walk through the baroque architecture of the city center where I will show you an amazing showcase of local cheeses and salami. - We will end the tour in the city center where you will discover the history of cocoa, how and when it was first introduced to this area and you will get the chance to have a little tasting of local chocolates. - last but not least, if you believed pizza is a strictly neopolitan dish, I'm challenging you to discover Turin-style pizza Other food tours in Italy include tastings: based on past experiences, I have decided to keep the cost of my tour reasonable and leave to you the decision to eat whatever and as much as you wish according to your appetite, personal tastes and intolerances/allergies.
