Hello! I’m Carlotta, a proud native of Turin – or Torino, as we locals call it. I was born and raised in this vibrant city, and over the years, my love for it has only deepened. That passion led me to pursue my tour guide and tour manager license, and I’ve been sharing the beauty of Turin, Piedmont, and other stunning Italian destinations with visitors from all over the world for over 15 years. My curiosity and drive to constantly learn have sparked my deep interest in art, local history, and the preservation of the rich cultural, gastronomic, and folkloric traditions of my region. I stay up-to-date by crafting new itineraries and researching fresh, captivating stories to share with my guests. What I love most about being a tour guide is seeing the amazement in my guests’ eyes as they discover my beautiful city and its surrounding areas. I’m also incredibly passionate about our local food culture and traditions. In fact, I’ve created a "Market Tour – Like a Local" and became a certified sommelier in 2024. I now also lead wine tours in the Langhe region, where you’ll taste exceptional Barolos and Barbarescos at hand-picked vineyards. I work closely with hotels, local institutions, tour operators, and both Italian and international associations to ensure a seamless experience for my guests. I’d be thrilled to welcome you during your visit to Turin and Piedmont! Licenses & Qualifications: - Licensed Tourist Guide and Tour Manager by the local government in Turin and Piedmont - Master’s Degree in Tourism Development - Cettified Sommelier by the Italian Sommelier Association - I am authorized to lead tours both outdoors and inside museums and art exhibitions A practical note: I am not a driver, but I can accompany you in your vehicle or arrange for a car and driver upon request. I look forward to showing you the best of my city and region!

Why is there such an important Egyptian Museum in Turin? How did the Egyptians live? What did they eat? How did they mummify their dear ones? These and many other questions will find answers during this 2-hour private tour of the Egyptian Museum of Turin, my absolute favourite museum in the city. It houses the biggest Egyptian collection in the Western World. Together, we will embark on a journey through ancient Egypt discovering sphinxes, mummies and hieroglyphs. The Museo Egizio is one of the most appreciated museums in Italy and is the 6th most visited museum in the country. If you are visiting Turin, don't miss out on viewing this extraordinary collection, second only to the museum in Cairo for Ancient Egyptian artefacts. -For customizing this tour, please inquire for a quote. Backpakcs need to be deposited at the cloakroom. It is possible to take photos with no flash. If you are a group bigger than 4, please contact me and I will send you a customised quote for your party.
- We'll meet at the museum's entrance, and from there your tour will begin, we'll be focusing on the highlights in this vast and spectacular collection. - We'll begin our journey through 5000 years of Egyptian history, spanning from pharaohs to mummies to giant statues of Egyptian divinities. - An artefact of particular interest is the tomb of Kha and Merit, an uncorrupted tomb brought to light in the 1910s thanks to the archaeological missions put in place by the museum itself: the tomb contains a complete set of objects for the couple's life on the other side that tell us a lot about the everyday life back then. - We'll finish our tour admiring the statue of Ramses II and other ones in the spectacular setting of the Gallery of the Statues. Ticket cost (€18 per person) is excluded from the total tour price. I will send you the info to easily book the tickets online. Museum entrance is free if you have purchased the Torino+Piemonte museum card. The museum is closed on Monday afternoons.
