Hi everyone! My name is Nathalie, and I am a Belgian who moved to Turin in 2014 for love — and completely fell in love with the city itself as well. Today, I live in the vibrant neighbourhood of San Salvario together with my husband Alessandro and our two daughters. I studied Food Culture and Communication at the Slow Food University in Piedmont, and ever since, food, local culture and storytelling have been at the heart of everything I do. When I travel, I am not looking for standard tourist attractions. I love discovering the real life of a city: the cafés locals truly love, hidden artisan shops, beautiful food traditions and the stories behind everyday places. That is exactly the kind of experience I create for my guests in Turin. My tours are private, personal and carefully curated. I combine hidden corners of Turin with local history, food culture, artisan shops and authentic places that most visitors would never discover on their own. Because every tour is private, I am always happy to adapt the experience to your interests whenever possible. A few things about me: * Master degree in Food Culture and Communication — Slow Food University (Pollenzo, Piedmont) * Master degree in French and Italian Literature — University of Antwerp * Master degree in Translation (English, French and Dutch) Please note: * I am not a licensed historical guide and therefore cannot guide inside monuments or museums. * I am not a driver, but I can gladly help arrange private transportation with a licensed driver if needed. I look forward to discovering Turin together with you!

When years ago my father-in-law, Federico, showed me around in the family's 70 year old coffee roastery, I immediately fell in love with the colours, aroma's and beautiful pictures of coffee plantations in the tasting bar. But more than all I could see and smell, I was blown away by all the amazing stories that Federico told me. About the difference between arabica beans and robusta beans (and all the false myths that come with them!). . . About the influence of the harvesting and roasting process on coffee taste. . . About the importance of drinking your espresso very hot while your filter coffee needs a bit of cooling down before it gives you its all. . . Federico had me taste so many coffees and taught me so much that I couldn't help but becoming one of the biggest coffee lovers of Turin. Today, I want to share this love for coffee with you and teach you all the astonishing things that I learned over time. After my coffee workshop and tasting, coffee will never be the same. . .
- Meeting at the Port Nuova Railway Station (at the corner of Via Nizza and Corso Vittorio Emanuele on the side of the station. After a - Short walk (approximately 10 minutes) to the officially Best Coffee Bar of Turin. This Bar is also the very first Specialty Coffee Bar of Italy. Here our coffee adventure will begin. If you have a very specific interest in a specific detail of coffee or if you would like me to customise this tour for you in any way (maybe by adding a lunch before the workshop or adding a visit to some historical coffee cafés of Turin, just write me and I will build you a tailor-made tour to your taste).
Tell your guide which places matter to you, skip what doesn't, and tailor the experience for your group's needs. Not finding what you want? Message your guide to build something unique.
We will walk by foot from the train station to the bar. If you prefer, I can also organise a pick-up by an official taxi driver at your hotel (but this cost would still have to be added to the tour price).
