I was born in Toronto, Canada, where I spent my first childhood years. Still a young child, my family decided to return to Turin on a back to the roots spur. After the transoceanic move and a few years, I graduated in languages (English, Spanish and French) and attained a postgraduate degree as an English/Italian interpreter and translator, by which I landed my first few 9 to 5 job for want of independence; shortly I realised I needed more adventure to my life and I studied and qualified to become a licensed tour guide and registered with the Regione Piemonte tour guide board. Taking that step instantly propelled me into the world of tour guiding and allowed me to co-found my own tour guide company. Those years forged my deep knowledge of Turin and the entire Piedmont region. I specialised as an organiser and supervisor for didactic trips concerned with archaeology, Egyptology, Modern and Contemporary Art and History of Risorgimento. Since then, taking care of groups of all sizes and nature and showing them around one of the most surprisingly interesting areas of Italy, Turin and its region, has become my mission. After a 8-year unforgettable experience in a team, it was time for me to go solo and since then I have increased my knowledge of the territory and its hotels, resorts, sightseeing spots and territorial bodies. I have specialised in press and educational trips for both private and public companies, and I have distinguished myself as a location and site manager and site producer for a number of television broadcasting companies shooting on location their programmes and documentaries. A key role position in the NBC television production as a tour guide and VIP welcoming and tours manager, together with a variety of trouble shooting and problem solving issues during the 2006 Winter Olympic Games, has allowed me to push my organisational skills and the ability to liaise with multicultural environments even further. My private walking tours and public tours around this corner of Italy have proved to be among the best on offer in Turin. And for the more curious eye, the following lists in detail the main companies I have worked for throughout the years: Olivetti & C. S. p. A. ; Osai A-B (Rockwell Group); Associazione Culturale Itineraria, founder partner; Time Out Guides Limited, contributor to the Turin Guide's first edition; Regione Piemonte, several and different collaborations; Discovery Channel, for programmes "Torino 2006 - The traveller's Guide", "Stranded with Cash Peters - Turin Episode"; NBC - New York Corporate Events, as VIP educational management and supervisor. And more adventure is to come… Certified Tour guide since 1994. Certified Tour manager since 1995.

My family on my mother's side comes from the hilly Monferrato region so every time somebody chooses this tour I feel I'm going back to my roots for one day (unfortunately I have no more "nonnis" left there). The Monferrato area, north of the town of Asti, may lack the international renown of Barolo and Barbaresco terroirs, but this is the place to discover some outstanding Barbera based wines, alongside with the lesser-known Grignolino and Freisa. And if you thought that the only Palio horse race is in Tuscany, set your alarm clock on September in Asti !! As for truffles, if you believed that white truffle is only to be enjoyed in Alba, I'm telling you that you have to come here to Monferrato to change your mind. Spring here is beautiful but autumn is even better: get prepared for local feasts and festivals held in harvest months among amazing foliage.
- Departing from Torino, our first stop will be at a little town where we will visit an outstanding medieval abbey (short visit but really breathtaking). Free admission. Set amid woodland, this monastery is one of the best preserved medieval priores in Piemonte where you will discover how the monks lived 800 years ago in the reconstructed monk's cloister, apple tree orchard and herb plot. I will tell you the story of how catholic abbeys were not only places of worship but also places of power for a land that fought throughout medieval times for independence. - Drive to town of Asti for a 1 hour walk in the city center. - From sacred to profane, we travel by car to a medium/small, family-run Monferrato wine producer where you will have the chance to try the less famous but typical and niche Monferrato wines. - Scenographic drive back to Torino, with pic stops along the way. Please contact me for customization.

Transportation is a must in these hillside areas. I do not have a private car but I regularly use the services of a professional, reliable with good sense of humor, driver that will drive us around in his Mercedes V or E CLASS (depending on size of group). We will tour the area by car and on foot. The 9-hour duration of the tour is inclusive of transportation from Torino to the winemaking area and return trip to Torino (approx. 3 hours including return trip)
Turin, Piedmont, Italy
I will pick you up together with my professional driver at your place of stay, only if centrally located.
