Ciao a tutti! I am Marilena and I have been a licensed guide in Milan and its Province since 2009. I speak fluentl English and of course, Italian! A strong passion for art and beauty conquered me since I was a teenager. After my University studies, I became a museum educator in the Brera Picture Gallery and, after obtaining my Tour Guide License, I continued to accompany nice school groups around the wonderful city of Milan, which I love to talk about! I truly love walking around the city and showing both adults and children its monuments and temples, telling their stories which have made this city great. When it comes to Milanese art collections, I love to focus on the smallest details in the paintings, which I hope to have the pleasure of describing to you. I love working with small groups, as well as with families with children, who allow me to engage in a very special dialogue to discover the city. I guarantee I'll be able to organize a special itinerary for you to get to know the city in the shadow of the Madonnina! I'll wait for you in Milan! Credentials: Degree in Cultural Heritage Sciences Master's Degree in Art History and Criticism 2019-2024 Higher education and specialized studies in Religious Tourism Member of GITEC Guide Italiane Turismo e Cultura Even if my calendar shows no availability, feel free to get in touch. I can organize private transportation by private car and driver. Just to clarify, I only arrange hotel pick-up and drop-off through the driver. I will meet you at the meeting point. For easy communication on the day of the tour, I suggest downloading WhatsApp on your smartphone.

Lovers of beauty, follow me to discover the masterpieces kept in the two main art galleries of the city: the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana and the Pinacoteca di Brera! The first, founded in 1618 by Federico Borromeo, Archbishop of Milan, is the first museum in Milan open to the public. It houses, among the many masterpieces exhibited in the rooms, paintings by Caravaggio, Raphael, Leonardo. The Ambrosiana is just a few minutes from the second art gallery, the Pinacoteca di Brera, easily reachable on foot through the medieval-style streets. The Brera Palace welcomes us with the bronze statue of Napoleon, the founder of the museum. Entering the Pinacoteca di Brera means leafing through a precious book of art history where Giovanni Bellini, Tintoretto, Raffaello, Caravaggio, Hayez are just some of the names of the masters of the Renaissance, Baroque and Romantic paintings that will appear before our eyes with extraordinary beauty.
-After we've gathered, we will proceed to enter the Pinacoteca di Brera. -Next, we will walk to the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, strolling across an area of Milan that is far from the usual itineraries: we will see Sforza Castle from outside, we will admire the archeological remains of the Imperial Palace of Milan, dating back the 4th century AD, and we will reach the Ambrosiana Gallery. -We will finish our tour by visiting Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, the first museum in the city, located in the ancient area of the Roman forum of Mediolanum, defined by Leonardo as the “true centre of the city of Milan”. The itinerary can be customized according to your needs. Note: The Pinacoteca di Brera is closed on Mondays and the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana is closed on Wednesdays.
