Hello, my name is Massimo! I was born in Lecco, on the Eastern flank of Lake Como. I have been taking guests on tours on Lake Como since 2019. My father used to work for IBM, and we lived in California and in Maryland. I was also an exchange student in Vermont. I worked for Internet startups for a while, but it was not the right job for a free spirit and an outdoors enthusiast. In the season, I take guests on tour on the Lake; in the Winter, I walk or hike when possible and marvel at the Lake from above. I live in Milan. We can meet in the city and go to Lake Como together, meeting at the train station or taking a black car. While the Lake can get busy, it's a real treat and I will always look for real and high-quality local restaurants. Overview of your Milan tour
We will meet in front of the Palazzo della Ragione, the large building in red bricks in Piazza dei Mercanti. This was the heart of Milan when it became a self-governing city. From there, we will move on to the new centre of the city, the Duomo, Milan’s majestic Gothic cathedral whose construction started under the reign of the Visconti family in 1386. We will then walk towards the Navigli, the city’s canals that were used to bring all that marble to Milan, stopping a couple of times on our way there. We will end our tour on the canals, a nice and quiet place for a midday bite on a sunny day or a much livelier place for drinks and dinner in the evening.
