Hi! Welcome to everybody! I'm Fausta and I have been working as a professional tourist guide in Milan since 1997. I'm also official tourist guide of Lake Como, the medioeval town of Bergamo, the longobard town of Monza, and I'm tour leader as well. According to the new law n. 190 dated 13th December 2023, as national tourist guide I can offer you also guided tours in other towns like Pavia , Cremona, Genoa and Savona (Liguria). Regarding Milan . . . . I'm a real "local" , since I was born in Milan in 1970 and I've seen my hometown growing up, developing and becoming a real European Capital in the last years. Now, I can see my 3 children (the oldest one is 22 years old) getting the most of it and I can see how many opportunities Milan is giving them as well. I love my job! I love meeting people coming from different countries, showing them my city and getting to know about their places. I want my guests to discover Italy as travellers, not as tourists. That's why I'm trying to comunicate all my love and knowledges "as local" to visitors. I'm very proud of my birthcountry and its Dolce Vita style! Milan is the most international and open-minded city of Italy. It's the capital of Italian fashion, interior design, opera (i. e. the Scala operahouse and Casa Verdi where the composer Giuseppe Verdi is buried) and - by the way - also of alcoholic drinks (did you know that the first factory Campari was located at the boundaries of Milan and still nowadays -downtown - we have the historical cafè Camparino?). Milan was the capital of the West Roman Empire, a renaissance town in XV Cent. (that's why Leonardo da Vinci lived in Milan 20 years!) , an industrial town at the began of the XX Cent. (ie Pirelli factory), but now Milan has become a contemporary town, for which "archistars" like Zaha Hadid, Daniel Liebeskind , Cesar Pelli, Boeri designed a new skyline or new projects like the Bosco Verticale (Vertical Wood). I've seen and do see these changes every single day! What about Genoa and Savona ? As most of "milaneses" I have been spending my summer holidays since childhood in Liguria, and I am still doing it ! So please don't hesitate to get in contact with me even if you don't see my avaiability on the web-site, I might be in Spotorno and reach you in less than 1 hour to show you both the wonderful historical maritime republics! I studied and I am still studying hard to get my several qualifications. I keep on following refresher courses to be able to communicate to everybody the real soul of the northern part of Italy, because I do think that tourism is a right for everybody, no matter what kind of special needs you may deserve or which sense is the best for you to get to know the world. Regarding special needs or multisensorial tours, do not hesitate to let me know. I'll prepare the best tailor-made tour according to your needs! Hoping to see you soon . . . . Ciao! - Licensed tourist guide of Milan (since 1995), Monza (since 1995), Bergamo (since 1997), Como (since 2015) - Licensed tour guide/tour leader (since 1997) - Licensed professional guide in English, German, Spanish, French, Italian. - National Tourist Guide since 13th december 2023 according to the law n. 190. - Course for Heritage Interpretation (March 2017). - Course for guiding mental and physical disabled guests (February 2016). - Course for guiding blind and partially sighted guests ( December 2020 - January 2021). - Course "Switch on tourism " for accessible tourism - tourism for all (March - May 2021). - Graduation in modern foreign languages and literature (1993). I am not a driver. I can arrange for a separate car and driver.

Overview of your Milan tour

The 30 years old Leonardo da Vinci left Florence in 1483 to come to Milan, which was at that time the second biggest town of Europe. The genius spent more than 17 years working in our town during his first stay for the family Sforza. He was actually employed as a musician, but he was also an architect, an engineer, he was even organizing parties at the Sforza Castle. Other famous artists were working in Milan at that time: the architect Bramante was projecting the church Santa Maria delle Grazie and Santa Maria presso San Satiro. During our tour, we'll follow Leonardo's footsteps around Milan. The tour is very flexible and may include (according to avaiability and your interests )the courtyards of the Sforza Castle, the Last Supper (booking is compulsory and must be made few months in advance) , Leonardo 3Museum , Pinacoteca Ambrosiana with Codex Atlanticus and Portrait of a Musician, or the Leonardo section in Science and Technique Museum.

Fausta is a delight as a guide and Milan expert. Not only did we see key sights, but we were provided a digestible set of facts and context. We would recommend.

We highly recommend. Milan is amazing and we loved everything about it, but this was the absolute highlight of our visit to the city. Words can't describe what it was like to see da Vinci's painting in its original setting. Fausta made sure that saw other sites in the area, including da Vinci's vineyard. Wonderful experience and memories. Thank you Fausta.

Fausta's knowledge was exceptional. Four of us from Australia in our 60's had the most amazing afternoon with Fausta. The pace was great particularly as it was very hot. When we booked the tour, tickets to The Last Supper were not available. The day they went on sale for 5 September 2018 Fausta secured tickets so we were able to see The Last Supper. Fausta explained the history and renovations undertaken over the years. We also did rooftop tour of Milan Duomo. Highly recommend a tour with Fausta.
