Hi! My name is Bartle and I am the guide you are looking for. I animate stories and use my words to stir emotions usually searching for empathy so the visitor understands the story not just hears it. A good tour guide gives a tour where all the facts are presented a great tour guide gives a performance where the facts are only part of the equation. Each tour I give I treat my audience to an experience using a number of finely honed techniques which always involve active engagement with the group. A tour guide should learn something from each group they lead. Anecdotes, self-depreciation and a sense of humor are all vital tools that I use for the visitor's enjoyment. My mission on a tour is to create memories. I am a member of the Independent Tour Guides Association of Ireland and have extensive wide ranging tour guiding experience all over Ireland. My work experience from managing period heritage attractions and consultancy work for my own company provide the bones for the tours I give. From ancient sites and hidden places in the Midlands of Ireland to Anglo-Irish Big Houses and Castles, I use an unique, engaging and entertaining style for story telling. My recent work included having access to little known first hand accounts of Irish History particularly involving the 1916 Rising which I use during my Dublin City tours. So if you want to enjoy a memorable tour opening the door to what it means to be Irish, complete with Irish wit and wisdom, book me. Magister Artium, Economics. University College Dublin. National Co-ordinator Ireland 1916 Centenary Commemoration. Member of Irish Volunteers Organisation. Train the Trainer Advanced. Lir Training. Tour Guide Trainer C&M Training. Former Chairperson of Houses, Castles, Gardens, Ireland. Member Irish Independent Tour Guides Association. Won Regional & National Tourism Awards. Steering Committee member for Ireland's Ancient East. I am not a driver. I can accompany you in your vehicle or I can arrange for a separate car and driver.
