The sacred city of Varanasi in India is the holiest Hindu city in the world and is the best place to have a clear and deeper understanding of the Hindu philosophy, culture and traditions. My name is Anish, and I am working as a tour guide in Varanasi though I have the right in the form of license to work in whole north India. I have the tour guide license of the Union Government of India. I have been a history graduate and still have a deep interest in history especially Indian history and Indian mythology and philosophies which include the philosophies other than the Hindu. I have worked with one of the best Destination Management Companies of the world and am now leading the guests of some reputed companies in the world. Besides leading the tours in this holiest Hindu city of Varanasi, Banaras or Kashi, I am deeply interested in exploring the off-beat touristic destinations and designing off-beat tourism products to enrich the experience of the guests coming to this city. I have designed some walking tours which give a deeper and clearer understanding of the area to my esteemed guests, based on different aspects. I am also designing Village tours so that the guests can have an experience of real India because as per Mahatma Gandhi - " The real India lives in the Villages ". I am interested in gaining the knowledge and sharing it with the interested persons and I organize the lectures and discourses on Indian History, Mythology, Philosophy and different aspects of it. I will be more than happy to help you understand my culture, my society, and my religion in the best way possible. I have the license of REGIONAL LEVEL TOURIST GUIDE, issued by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. It is the highest level of tourist guide operating legally in India. 3. Received AUDLEY GUIDE AWARDS 2019, for best tour guide in India. 4. Completed Tourist Guide Orientation Program, conducted by INDIA TOURISM, INTACH, and TOURISM WELFARE ASSOCIATION. 5. Won Special Recognition Prize for Culture Walk in ALL INDIA WALKING TOUR CONTEST organised by INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TRAVEL AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT in association with INDIA CITY WALKS. 6. Overview of your Varanasi tour
The tour has been designed for the guests who don't have enough time to spend here. This tour will help you cover major sightseeing of the city in the least possible time. We will cover all four major sightseeing of City tour, Evening ceremony, Morning boat ride and the visit to Sarnath. We will start with the visit to the Banaras Hindu University and new KASHI VISHWANATH TEMPLE in its campus and the Mother India Temple. Later we will proceed to watch the famous Evening Arti ceremony on the Bank of the river Ganga. Performed by a number of young priests it is the best end of your day, you will see the thousands of devotees attending the ceremony and participating actively in the ceremony. Next day, in the morning we will have a boat ride in the river and visit more of the river bank and different activities for which the river bank have been used since ages. Later we will visit the place used by Buddha for the start of his philosophy. Besides all these things, we will also visit some local art in the city.
Your Varanasi tour itinerary
DAY 1-(6 Hours): We will start the tour with the visit of some modern Hindu temples and the 100 years old BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY. Later, we will watch a religious ceremony performed beautifully on the river bank and attended by thousands of devotees every day. Before watching it we will have a small boat ride to the most important cremation ground for the Hindus in the whole universe. DAY 2-(8 Hours): The day will start early in the morning for a boat ride to visit different activities on the river bank, which surely will be a great start of your day. After this, we will have a small heritage walk in alleyways to the KASHI VISHWANATH TEMPLE and stop at a center dealing in some interesting Indian items. Later, we will return the hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, at a fixed time, we will leave for the Buddhist town of SARNATH, where Buddhism as a philosophy started. We will visit a cooperative center for silk weaving which has been an age-old art in VARANASI and is a dying art now.
