The sacred city of Varanasi in India is the holiest Hindu city in the world and is the best place to have a clear and deeper understanding of the Hindu philosophy, culture and traditions. My name is Anish, and I am working as a tour guide in Varanasi though I have the right in the form of license to work in whole north India. I have the tour guide license of the Union Government of India. I have been a history graduate and still have a deep interest in history especially Indian history and Indian mythology and philosophies which include the philosophies other than the Hindu. I have worked with one of the best Destination Management Companies of the world and am now leading the guests of some reputed companies in the world. Besides leading the tours in this holiest Hindu city of Varanasi, Banaras or Kashi, I am deeply interested in exploring the off-beat touristic destinations and designing off-beat tourism products to enrich the experience of the guests coming to this city. I have designed some walking tours which give a deeper and clearer understanding of the area to my esteemed guests, based on different aspects. I am also designing Village tours so that the guests can have an experience of real India because as per Mahatma Gandhi - " The real India lives in the Villages ". I am interested in gaining the knowledge and sharing it with the interested persons and I organize the lectures and discourses on Indian History, Mythology, Philosophy and different aspects of it. I will be more than happy to help you understand my culture, my society, and my religion in the best way possible. I have the license of REGIONAL LEVEL TOURIST GUIDE, issued by the Ministry of Tourism, Government of India. It is the highest level of tourist guide operating legally in India. 3. Received AUDLEY GUIDE AWARDS 2019, for best tour guide in India. 4. Completed Tourist Guide Orientation Program, conducted by INDIA TOURISM, INTACH, and TOURISM WELFARE ASSOCIATION. 5. Won Special Recognition Prize for Culture Walk in ALL INDIA WALKING TOUR CONTEST organised by INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TRAVEL AND TOURISM MANAGEMENT in association with INDIA CITY WALKS. 6. Overview of your Varanasi tour
You will be busy from morning to evening. The tour will start with a morning boat ride in Ganges river, and then a short walking tour in heritage part of the city leading to the main Shiva temple of this city, a Jyotirlinga, known as shri Kashi Vishwanath Temple among Hindus and Golden Temple among International guests. Then after we will proceed to visit some new Hindu temples dedicated to different deities of Hindus - New Vishwanath Temple and Mother India Temple: a unique temple which have marble relief map on floor. Later we will visit the town of SARNATH, the birthplace of Buddhist philosophy and finally will end our day with the illuminating Ganga Aarti ceremony, a light performance by some priests to thank goddess Ganges.
Your Varanasi tour itinerary
1. We will leave the hotel for holy river Ganga, to have a boat ride in Ganges early in the morning at about 5 AM, 2. The morning boat ride will be followed by a short heritage walk in the city. 3. After the Heritage walk we will Proceed directly to visit the lush green campus of the 3rd biggest university of the world BANARAS HINDU UNIVERSITY. 4. After visiting this University and a beautiful Temple there, we will proceed for MOTHER INDIA TEMPLE, which is a unique place of worship without any statue. 5. With it we will return back to the hotel for breakfast. 6. Later after breakfast we will Proceed for the Buddhist town of SARNATH (about 10 kms from the main city), the place where Buddha gave his first teaching to first 5 disciples. 7. In the evening at a pre fixed time we will proceed to attend a performance of a light ceremony on the bank of river Ganges by some priests.
