Himalayan Sunrise Trek
Overview of your Rishikesh tour
The Kunjapuri Temple sunrise trek is a memorable experience for anyone who visits. The temple is situated at an elevation of 1650 meters in the Himalayas, providing breathtaking views of some of the most iconic mountain peaks in the area. After admiring the sunrise, you'll embark on a 10 km downhill trek back to Rishikesh that will take approximately 3 hours. You'll pass through stunning Himalayan villages and landscapes including waterfalls and bubbling water streams on your way back to Tapovan in Rishikesh. There is a bridge near one of the waterfalls with a few resting stops along the way. You're likely to see different species of butterflies fluttering around the wildflowers, adding even more beauty to this wonderful spot. Water, soft drinks, noodles, and tea are available for purchase at small shops along the route.
Your Rishikesh tour itinerary
The tour starts early in the morning at 05:00 AM in the winter season and 04:00 AM in the summer season from Rishikesh only. You will proceed to Kunjapuri in a private pre-arranged transport that takes almost 60 minutes / 30 km. After arrival, the driver will drop you off and drive back to Rishikesh. You will then need to climb up around 350 steps to reach the mountaintop for the sunrise view. Once you have seen the sunrise, you will have some free time for your own activities like Yoga & Meditation. After that, you can have a tea break at the temple's coffee shop before trekking back to Rishikesh. The driver and car will then transfer you back to your hotel.
