For those with two-days to spare in India's fascinating capital, this tour is a perfect opportunity to soak in all its beauty. On this tour of Delhi, one of the most amazing cities in the world, we visit both Old Delhi and New Delhi. In Old Delhi, the four-hundred year old part of the city, we visit India's largest mosque Jama Masjid (25000 people can pray here at a single time!), and explore its bustling bazaars : the wedding articles market Kinaari Bazaar, and the nose-numbing spice market Khari Baoli are the highlights. We have numerous photo opportunities during this slow-paced walk. Later, in New Delhi, we visit the UNESCO-enlisted Qutub Minar, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial, and drive past magnificent structures of the colonial era (India Gate, Presidential Palace, Parliament House etc. ). Join me and discover Delhi, a fascinating city! I had the most amazing two days exploring Delhi with Mona. I felt like I was out exploring with an old friend who lives in Delhi. Not only does he have deep knowledge and love for Delhi he's also a wonderful human to get to know. Do yourself and book the tour.
Really enjoyed this tour. Madhavendra was a great guide. He was very informative, patient, and knew all the best photo spots. He was very accommodating, spending at least 30 minutes helping me get a local SIM card.
Madhavendra, (Mona), was an exceptional guide throughout Delhi. He took us to a variety of Indian cultural sites which we couldn't have found on our own. His presentations at each site, re the rich history of those sites was testimony to the depth of knowledge of his homeland. Mona's grasp of English is excellent (he also speaks Mandarin), & his sense of humour during 2 days of touring, made for an easy & fun time. Our driver, Bunty, had great patience & skill on the roads & his car was impeccably clean.
My "travel buddy" and I met with Mona for a two-tour of the Delhi area, and could not have been happier with our time together. Mona is excited to share the history of his native city, is fluent in English and easy to understand, knows a LOT about everything (has a bachelor's degree in history), and is super-likeable. Also, he's adept with the phone camera, so we got a lot of really nice photos of places we saw and of ourselves. He took us to a great lunch spot, too. I highly recommend Mona!
Mona went above and beyond to provide an extraordinary experience in Delhi. He is well versed in history and made the tour personal to our interests. He took us to a lovely restaurant, Old Delhi, and many historical sites.
Mona is truly the best tour guide I've ever had. His knowledge of history, culture, and perspective, coupled with his passion for his job made our experience second to none. He has the unique perspective of being raised in a rural area outside of Delhi, combined with an advanced degree in history so his knowledge base is amazing. He accommodated all our preferences without sacrificing a thing. I would recommend Mona and his driver to anyone planning to come to Delhi. I can't imagine a better tour guide
