The city of Delhi actually consists of two components: Old Delhi, in the north, the historic city; and New Delhi, in the south, since 1947 the capital of India, built in the first part of the 20th century as the capital of British India.
What had a fabulous day Mona! He looked after us all so well. We were a jet lagged group of 2 adults and a 7 & 9 year old. He was constantly flexing the itinerary to suits our varied interests that ensure that we all got something out the day. His passion for history was fantastic but never overbearing by listening to our needs. He took us to great places to eat as well as visit the fabulous city of Delhi. A day that created so many memories for us all.
Mona gave a great tour! He’s very flexible and responsive to his guests’ desires. We had just come from 12 days in Bhutan, and were pretty tired. He took us on a marvelous trip through Old Delhi and also was very helpful with logistics. He took care of everything— we could not have done any of it on our own. Highly recommend!
Mona the guise was incredible. Turned up early for the guide and was extremely friendly from the start. We were looked after with drinks and sampled some of the Delhi delights along our tour he was very informative and easy to listen too. Overall we had a great experience in new Delhi and would recommend this guide to anyone.
Mona was an energetic and highly educated guide -- spoke fluent English, a great photographer and a very good historian. He showed me the highlights of Delhi and the real but exciting side of the old city (bazaars, spice market, etc), making sure I was safe all the time. We also took the rickshaw and subway train. He went beyond the allotted time and even accompanied me to get myself some Starbucks mugs. We capped the tour with authentic Indian dinner in a local, hygienic restaurant. Highly recommended.
Mona organized a tour meeting all our expectations. Sadly, it was raining so that added a challenge. He did work to ensure we were comfortable.
Mona was INCREDIBLE!! We had only 24 hours in Delhi before we flew to Bhutan and Mona allowed us to see, experience, and taste as much as possible in our half day tour. He went above and beyond any expectations, including picking us up from the airport, which removed a lot of stress from our shoulders since this was our first time in India. He was friendly, extremely knowledge, and considerate of what we wanted to do. BOOK HIM!! I definitely will when we return in the future! I only wish we had more time!
This tour is a perfect opportunity to soak in the beauty of Old Delhi, the most chaotic and colorful part of the city! After being picked up from your hotel/ home-stay, we head to Old Delhi where we stop for a photo in front of the iconic Red Fort. Next we explore the vibrant bazaar around Chandni Chowk, where different streets specialise in different things: from wedding paraphernalia to food and spices, and the ubiquitous chai. We have an opportunity to visit the 16th century Jama Masjid or Friday Mosque, where 25000 people can pray at a single time.
