To feel the culture and unseen blue city which gives you positive vibes and town keep it 500's year. Jodhpur, the capital, was founded by Rao Jodha in the mid-1400's, ancient temples , historic havelis and Blue houses. The city is dominated by Mehrangarh Fort, one of the most impressive and interesting fort in all of Rajasthan. Below the fort, the markets of Jodhpur are vibrant and chaotic; reflecting not just the the multi-cultural composition of its people but also Jodhpur's long history as a trading centre. I am a local who grew up around here and this means you can explore off beaten parts of city with me. So I welcome you to discover the culture of my home city in a very special way.
Ravi is a superb guide. He is courteous, kind and professional and did everything possible, including arranging autorickshaws to take us around, to make our extended tour of Jodhpur amazingly enjoyable and educational. My friends and I nearly always book Tours by Locals or similar guides nowadays because, in our opinion, it means we get to see much more in the short time available. Ravi was one of the very best we have ever used and I absolutely recommend him.
If it were possible to give 6 stars out of 5 we would do! Ravi really engaged with our family (including 2 daughters). From the minute he met us on the train platform this was much more than just a tour of the sites but a genuine cultural experience of the city. Ravi's level of English was excellent and along with his honesty we felt safe with him at all times. Highlights were the trip to the Osian desert, our walk-through the Blue City and meeting his family. I cannot recommend him highly enough.
We immediately warmed to Ravindra. He was intelligent, spoke good english and had a great deal of knowledge to share. He spent all day with us and was happy to take us to the Blue City where tourist do not usually venture. This was a highlight for us and we really felt we seeing the 'Real India'. He also made us feel very safe due to his knowledge of the locals and the area. We will be recommending him to our friends planning on travelling to Rajasthan.
The Blue City Tour was the BEST and Ravindra was by far the best tour guide I had during my trip to India! He was very knowledgeable about the city, had great English, and was very accommodating to our needs. We arrived at the airport at 2pm and wanted to take the 2pm tour so he agreed to meet us at our hotel at 3pm! He took us around the blue city and we took a lot of pictures. He's from there so he knows all the best places for shopping, restaurants, markets, etc... and will go above and beyond!
1 - Meet up at your centrally located HOTEL - in the day time before sunset best time of day. 2 - We will meet at the hotel and proceed to Chand pole (this ride is included in the tour price), which will be our starting point; 3 - Possible Stop for lunch (You decide if we stop or not - lot's of nice restaurants available); 4 - Walk or Rickshaw Ride to the Clock Tower; 5 - End of the tour — we will finish our walk at Clock tower or drop off at the hotel. The best thing to book with me as I grew up locally here so I am around happy to introduce offbeat part This is a suggested itinerary and I can customize it for you. You get best unseen part of city.
