I am an Israeli who lives since 1987 in Berlin, a tour guide and a filmmaker. I deliver the highest quality experience, making your visit fun at the same time. I combine an excellent grasp of Central European and Jewish history with a deep knowledge of art, architecture and literature. A day in Berlin with me is the ideal introduction to the complicated often conflicting world of historic and contemporary Germany. I picks you up in my van, and guides you through the Enlightenment, the glory of 19c Germany, the downward spiral of the Nazi era, the post war division then recovery and brings you to today. I am an Alumni of the film & television dept. of Tel Aviv University. As of 1987 I continued my studies in film and communication at the Free University of West Berlin. In 1989 I began working as a tour guide in Berlin and the area for individuals and groups. In 1999 I wrote for the magazine 'City Mouse' for Berlin, and through the years I have written many articles about the city. I guide the diplomatic staff of the Israeli Embassy in Germany often, relating special topics and including official guests of the Embassy - Ministers, Military Attaches, Members of Parliament, City Mayors and more. All my tours can be customized upon request, so I invite you to contact me. I am an Alumni of the film & television dept. of Tel Aviv University. The "ArchitekTour" is intended for everyone who is interested in architecture in general and especially in architectural developments in Berlin. The twentieth century changed nearly all cities, but perhaps none more so than Berlin. From its destruction in World War II that left few historic buildings intact to its division until 1989 that brought together the architecture of two competing ideologies into one city, Berlin's modern and contemporary architecture speaks to a past that seldom accompanies such recent additions. The city is filled with new and wonderful architecture that might not have found space in other cities in Europe. As a witness to many construction projects, I offer you a very personal insight into the development of the street scene. In addition, we take a brief look into the future and see which architectural projects should be driven forward and completed in the next few years. Of course, there is enough time between the individual stations for interesting discussions and questions.
