Follow me and take a step back in time through the magnificent 17th century mansions, the small streets of the Middle Ages, the churches of the 17th century, the remains of a wall of the 12th century , you will discover a place where Jews used to live since the Middle Ages. You will see little Synagogue from the outside, the Pletzl, Rue des Rosiers one of the most vibrant streets in what was the Jewish quarter of Paris. Even today, the Star of David continues to shine from Jewish bookshops, restaurants, charcuteries and boulangeries, stunning 17th-century "hotels particuliers". You will taste Yiddish gastronomy. . . This private tour will make an introduction to the history of the French Jews. During our private tour we will go to see Victor Hugo's house, Hôtel Sully, Place des Vosges, St Paul, Rue des Rosiers. You might also wish to taste a delightful strudel or falafel. All of my tours are private and entirely adapted to your wishes and your pace.

My wife and I spent two 3 hours days with Genevieve. She was absolutely terrific. Prior to our trip, she gave us suggestions on where to stay, eat and visit. She also helped in making a few dinner reservations since we had difficulty doing online. She was punctual and made our trip extremely interesting and enjoyable. The car she provided was very nice and comfortable. Best part was her she was so in sync with her driver that every time we visiting a place, he was there waiting wherever we ended up eliminating the need to walk back to the car. Fantastic. There was so much to see and do in that she was very efficient in where she took us so we covered a lot of ground. We saw places we never would have seen on our own. What a lovely behind the scenes tour of Le Marais. We have been to the area before but with Genevieve’s guidance it felt like we were experiencing a Parisian neighborhood with a dear friend. So real and lively with conversations with shop owners, neighborhood gardeners, and market merchants. A special memory of hidden gardens, tasty treats and tucked away passages. The tour was for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Genevieve was wonderful. We covered so much ground - she accommodated the teenagers with stops to the Emily in Paris highlights. We also did a tour of Le Maria with a Jewish theme. And much more than we could have imagined in 2 hours. Thanks for the pictures you took and shared with us and for an awesome experience in Paris. We felt like locals.
