I will take you through this mesmerising voyage back in time and show you the secrets of the Sun King's magnificent Palace of Versailles. You'll be carried away by the dazzling decorations, the exquisite artworks and the many captivating stories of the French royal court. Imagine yourself being invited to one of the King's ceremonies and not knowing anything about the royal court etiquette. . . I will give you the keys ! The Chateau de Versailles was built in the 17th century by the Sun King Louis XIV in the objective of exercising his absolute power. It was meant to show the world the best of French arts and architecture. The palace housed the royal court for three successive monarchs up till the French Revolution. Public transportation will be used for this tour, it's a nice way to experience local lives. * For bookings from Apr to Oct, ticket availabilities are limited please check before booking.
We used Mandy for 2 tours: The Louvre, and Versailles. Mandy did an excellent job sharing her knowledge of history and art appreciation. She made the tour very easy and enjoyable for all of us. I’d absolutely recommend her to anyone considering a Paris/Versailles tour.

Mandy was amazing, kind, patient and very informative. She took my 13 year old daughter and me on a tour of Versailles and it was amazing. He knowledge was exceptional. I only wished I had booked Mandy for all the tours we had in Paris.
Mandy is the ideal guide. She is a wealth of knowledge conveyed in a charming manner. Her illustrations added immeasurably to our experience and understanding of court life. She took excellent photographs of us and always seemed able to locate open benches for us to sit while she explained the room. She made everything come to life in the palace and in the gardens.

We've taken previous tours with Mandy and when we had the opportunity to attend the Olympics it was a perfect complement to tour Versailles. She arranged transportation and we spent a half day touring the grounds and the Palace and even my grandchildren were mesmerized. I would highly recommend Mandy for any tour.
We will meet at a C Line train station that is closest to your hotel, then take the train to Versailles. - The trip to Versailles takes around 1 hour - We will go through the skip-the-line entrance. The visit includes: - the Hall of Heraculus - the Royal Chapel - the King's Apartments - the Hall of Mirrors - the King's Chamber - the Queen's Apartments - the Royal Garden Public transportation back to your hotel * This tour can be customized, for example, to include a visit to the popular local fresh food market (the open-air market opens on Tuesdays, Friday and Sunday till 2pm) or a visit to the Queen's Domaine.
