With 2 free days available in Paris, we put our touring plans into Mouna’s very capable hands. One the first day, we requested the One Day in Paris: The Best of the City tour and it was fabulous! For our second day, at Mouna’s suggestion, we took the Montmartre, Sacre Coeur and Moulin Rouge walking tour. During our 2-day stay, we wanted to experience as much of Paris as we could. We accomplished that with the major tourist sites on day 1. On day 2, Mouna provided us with an even more memorable encounter with the city’s more unique, artistic and less traveled locations. Her passion for the city was a joy to behold and ever present from the beginning to end of this tour. Mouna’s in depth knowledge and experience with these special, sometimes quirky and off the beaten path neighborhoods made for another unforgettable tour. The tourist crowds can sometimes overwhelm you in the major sites, but Mouna was able to find exclusive locations that were intimate and had an interesting back story. On several occasions, there were no other tourists visible in any direction. But Mouna was able to tie in these seemingly non-descript locations, no matter how less traveled, with a relevant and interesting historical context. There were many parts of this tour that Mouna made even more enjoyable than the major sites. Her sense of humor and personality made the tour go by quickly. But we were able to find the time to squeeze in a quick lunch at a charming streetside café in one of the neighborhoods. Mouna made touring these more artistic and whimsical locations yet another memorable experience that we will not soon forget.
