Bonjour, and welcome to France! My name is Olesya, and I am a professional, licensed guide. I first came to Paris twenty years ago to study at Sorbonne University, and from there, I gave a piece of my heart to this magical city. My love for Paris is ever-growing, and I would be more than happy to share it with you! After graduating from Sorbonne University, where I studied English philology and literature, I worked as a professional translator for numerous Parisian and international translation agencies. Striving to be more in touch with other people and deepen my knowledge in history of art, I pursued my studies at the National Guides' School in Paris and the Ecole du Louvre to become a professional guide. Now, fully licensed, I am delighted to introduce you to the magic of Paris and its rich, fascinating history and outstanding architecture. Paris is truly where history is so alive that you can literally touch it. With me as your guide, you will discover Paris and gain a bucket-load of knowledge. But don't worry! There are no classes, homework, or tons of research to do here. Simply allow me to lead you through the streets of Paris - in a relaxing, easygoing, and enjoyable way! The great part is that anyone can benefit from my tours, and they are 100% family-friendly. All tours can also be tailored according to your needs and desires. What's more is that being a fully licensed guide gives me a little (huge!) advantage to skip all the crowds and queues in most of the museums and monuments! My biggest enjoyment on tours is to "crack the codes" of museum masterpieces. I connect with people individually, giving them the keys to better appreciate artworks and monuments, translating them into a language you can understand. I love seeing faces brighten with new knowledge! I mostly enjoy surprising people - and I like to be surprised myself. Paris is the perfect location for this! Are you ready to journey on your thrilling French adventure? - French Government License that enables me to guide you through all museums and monuments with priority access - no queuing here! - Degree in History of Art obtained at the School of the Louvre (École du Louvre) - Master's degree in French and English linguistics, philology, and literature.

The Montmartre district, located on the hill of the same name, differs significantly from other quarters of Paris both in its history and atmosphere. In the distant past, there was a small village and a nunnery. When Montmartre became part of Paris, its inhabitants remained true to themselves and retained their rustic way of life. Later, this picturesque corner of the French capital was chosen by artists who found everything they needed here: sources of inspiration, inexpensive housing and a large number of restaurants with cheap wine. The intricate streets of Montmartre keep the memory of its former inhabitants and are full of secrets. Take some of your time to visit this most romantic quarter of Paris, and it will repay you in full - with unforgettable impressions and fond memories! Let you be seduced by the tales, legends and stories from the life of the hill and its inhabitants, which will help you plunge into the atmosphere of Montmartre and feel the rustic charm of the most picturesque area Paris.
The tour starts at the Blanche metro station. Here, we'll see the famous cabaret Moulin Rouge. From there we'll walk to the top of Montmartre (no worries, we'll take very easy paths) to enjoy a panoramic view of the city! Nearby, in the shadow of the Sacre Coeur, is the charming Romanesque church of St. Peter Once upon a time it was visited by Joan of Arc herself! Further on our way - the noisy colorful Tertre Square You will see the famous "Pink House" - a favorite meeting place for artists. But that's not all! On our way, we'll visit the "Laundry Boat ", the "Castle of Mists" and will know why "The Man who walked through walls" is stuck and which famous actor sculpted it? For those who watched the film "Amelie", I will show the cafe where the protagonist worked. I don't reveal all the secrets, I have many surprises for you!
