Montmartre: Discover Paris's Bohemian Village on a Private Tour

Marc was a fantastic guide and very flexible with our small group. Great day and well worth the price.

Marc led a delightful tour of Monmartre for my son and his family which included two children ages 15 and 12. His tour was informative and fun and introduced them to a part of the city to which they had not been before. The communication prior to the tour was excellent also. I would not hesitate to book him for any of the tours he offers. Thank you Marc.

I can’t imagine a better tour guide or tour. Montmartre had been on my list for a while, but I was slightly apprehensive about what I feared would be too steep of climbing for my two knee replacements I had this year. I wanted to try and didn’t even mention this to Marc until halfway into the tour. He was instantly so compassionate and said, “Oh, I’m so sorry. We could have started at the top after taking a train or funicular to the top.” But I was able to get to the top without any pain and I was thrilled to get to see so much on the way as Marc pointed out so many things of historical and cultural significance. He went at a great pace for my brother and me. He also was great at adapting to two very different personalities and different interests. At the end of our tour, he recommended a great little restaurant for lunch, where I’ve already returned with my daughter in law.

I took an evening walking tour through Montmartre with Marc. He started the tour with a succinct summary of the history of Paris, how it grew and came to be what it is today. And at each stop, he never fails to give insight into its history, cultural and art background. Despite having a full day tour beforehand, Marc remained engaging and upbeat till the very end. I had such a wonderful evening getting to know one of my favorite spots in Paris intimately. Thank you Marc!

Always wanted to go to Montmartre but never had the time and wasn’t sure what to see. There’s the really touristy area on top of the hill but that’s not what we wanted to see, we did that years ago. We really wanted to see the area. And Marc gave us just that. We started at the bottom, at Moulin Rogue and spent two hours heading up, seeing great sights and places that have been in movies. There’s a lot of beautiful architecture there and he showed us so much of it, telling us stories of movie stars and cabarets. It was just wonderful. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!

Marc was a good tour guide. He was knowledgeable about art, music, and literature of the area which we visited. He also initiated offering to take photos of me, in front of of well known sites, from my cell phone - nice touch. Marc is also friendly.
