Hi there, my name is Pamela, and I am an Italian Art Historian. I'm a professor of art history, with a PhD in history and theories of arts (Paris 8 University), and I have lived in Paris since 2012. Currently, I am a professor of art history at the University of Architecture (ENSAPB) of Paris-Belleville. Since 2013, I've been an affiliated researcher at the University of Paris 8, specialising in modern and contemporary art, the history of art collections, and museum architecture. In the past 14 years, I have been a researcher at the Pompidou Centre and a lecturer in art history at various Parisian Universities, including Paris 8 University, the National Institute of Art History (INHA), and the School of Architecture Paris-Malaquais. As an art historian and museum guide, I have organised visits to the most important Parisian museums, galleries, and foundations (Louvre, Orsay, Pompidou, Louis Vuitton Fondation, Palais de Tokyo, Musée Rodin . . . ), I've participated in many international conferences, and I've published three books and several scientific papers. With my students and my travellers, we have experienced art differently. I pursue an active pedagogy to foster creative vision and to accompany viewers during their encounter with art. Art must be lived, touched, and listened to through a visual and spatial experience. A journey inside the two most beautiful museums in Paris
Overview of your Paris tour

Pamela B. was our guide for tours of the Louvre and Musee D' Orsay. This was by far the best tour of these museums that I have ever experienced. She helped us understand the relevance of the works on display by providing artistic and social context for the works. Everyone knows that the Mona Lisa is one of the most popular attractions. But why? She provided the back story along with a discussion of de Vinci's other works on display. Her approach to presenting the works in both museums allowed us to see how they fit together to provide an artistic historical timeline. Her enthusiasm and obvious appreciation of the tour material was infectious. I strongly recommend Pamela for a remarkable tour of these iconic museums.

Pamela did a fabulous job showing us the highlights of the Louvre and Musee d'Orsay, starting with entry that got us in fast and away from the crowd. This tour is a must if you want to know the history and details behind many of the famous paintings, and some not as famous. Pamela was a wealth of knowledge and also able to be very time efficient avoiding long lines and heavy people traffic areas.
